now i'm confused cause some are saying he isn't a burner but you show him being a 4.4 speed guy
J. Love ran 10.5+ 100 in HS, Walton at 10.64 is still very fast. I’d imagine he’ll get faster as he matures and gets in a college conditioning program.

I’m not sure it matters to rehash the recruiting of a coach who left, for a position group who that wasn’t impacted either now or likely in the future by it
Yeah, but fuck it, it's the first week of May. We've got time, Salma GIFs and food recipes galore.

The running style reminds me a lot of Audric Estime
He's much faster and shiftier than Estime, he does a lot of damage on the outside in his big Sophomore season reel and Estime did most of his damage inside the tackles and on counters. Check out all 3 High School highlights

That 10.54 was heavily wind aided, surprisingly with a 6.1mph wind his best legal time was 10.70.

I hate to be that guy, but what are we talking about? 10.64 is lightening fast, so is 10.70. This is not the olympic trials. They don't need to beat Tyreke Hill in a YouTube video.

Straight line speed on a track doesn't always translate to the football field the way you'd expect, and it is different that lateral quickness.

But there is no universe where 10.6-10.8 is not absolutely flying, especially for guys over 200 lbs!

Exactly! I mean this isn't a 160 jitterbug, a 10.6x at 205+ as a JR in HS is very very good speed. The guy was a Middle school sprint champ and even ran the 400 and finished 3rd. I like his pedigree and definitely his Football instincts. I remember a lot of my track teammates didn't run quite as fast with pads on the gridiron

Everyone should watch that video just to see the build on this young man. He outweighs the next closest guy in the meet by 15-20 lbs at least and still beat them al. He's probably +50 on a few of them. And honestly, his technique doesn't look perfect because he's a FOOTBALL player running track.

We used to get geeked out by a 220 lb guy who could break the 11s mark in the hundred. His acceleration and top end speed are at the top for his position. Getting 2 RBs of this caliber would be an A+ no questions asked. A lot of malleable clay for Landow to shape into a monster.
That last sentence is key. This is a stud hs rb, who doesn't appear to play a fast as his track times might indicate.

If he commits to the good guys, his s&p coach is a guy who specializes in speed training, so much so that nfl players train at his facility...

There's more juice to squeeze to borrow a parlance of our times.

Saquon ran a 10.74 as a senior in HS and ran a 4.4 at the combine fwiw
Two totally different races, I knew guys who were great in the 40 and by the time we went past 60 I could phase down and beat them by 6-7 meters.

You guys might need to watch his Sophomore film, he plays plenty fast but he was nursing some nagging injuries this past year and not quite as swift. Guy is outrunning CBs with 5-6yd angles as a Soph.

And he's a true multisport athlete. Runs track, throws shot/discus (can't remember which), high jumps, swims and plays football. Maybe he does other sports as well but that is an excellent resume and shows he's been developed in multiple planes of movement.

Interesting point the guy won the Sectional/Region in the 100 meter and was 2nd in the Shot Put!! That's about as crazy as a guy winning the 100m and the 1500m

"Dude runs a 4.4 in the forty."

Right up to the point that the linebacker that runs a 4.6 goes crashing into him at full speed.

It’s the sport of kings, better than Diamond Rings

His best shot put is 47'7 which isn't going to win any state championships but is ridiculously good for a sprinter/running back. It shows he's explosive. He's going to be a beast.

The several tenths of a second being considered in the earlier discussion is small potatoes... continue to recruit freak, multi-sport athletes with well-rounded skill sets and watch the first natty since '88 appear before our eyes

Finally got a chance to watch his highlights.

You guys are right. Runs angry and love his willingness to block. His very first play actually reminds me of estime the way he easily changes direction without losing any speed.

Definitely a want for me hands down

By the time Walton is on campus, we'll be hoping for a repeat!
