Fulwiley to LSU. Not sure that team is going to have enough basketballs for everyone, but that's a problem for Kim to solve in between foot stomps and throwing her jacket.

Have we really gone a week with radio silence?
I haven’t seen any chatter regarding possible incoming players?
This is from 3 days ago in the Athletic. We are deemed “losers” in this years portal. Ouch. I honestly thought there would be a plan to bringing in some help. Looks like there was none and this staff was blindsided.

Notre Dame

Quite surprising to see a third team that was considered a national championship front-runner in the “losers” section right now. But here we are. Welcome to the modern era of college sports, where everything changes by the day.

After much talk about the successful backcourt chemistry between Miles and Hannah Hidalgo, the partnership was short-lived as Miles opted to spend her final season at TCU. Koval, who played an increased role until Maddy Westbeld returned from injury, also opted to transfer. Her older brother attends LSU, so it wasn’t a huge surprise she landed there, even if her decision to depart from Notre Dame was unexpected.

Risch appeared in only 13 games this season while rehabbing a hip injury, and Watson didn’t play at all because of a knee injury.

Those exits, coupled with Sonia Citron and Maddy Westbeld’s departures for the WNBA, leave a dearth of minutes in South Bend. Hidalgo is a heck of a point guard, but beyond her, the Irish have only one player (forward Cassandre Prosper) who played more than five minutes a game last season. Notre Dame’s 2025 high school recruiting class has only one player (Leah Macy). So far, coach Niele Ivey has secured commitments from Kansas State’s Gisela Sanchez and Wake Forest’s Malaya Cowles. But work is required to fill out a starting five, let alone a roster.

They lost a top 10-20 women’s cbb player and replaced her with a few of ladies with a PPG average that matches gas prices.

From what I’ve heard I wouldn’t be shocked if Ivey gets canned.

We’ve got a WNBA game coming to ND tomorrow w/ 3 star alumni and this is where the program is at. I’d say these are fair questions.

Losing Citron hurts, agreed.

Yeah I agree Ivey just isn't cutting it, when Muffett was here we were in the final four quite a bit and made 9 championship games. Ivey isn't cutting it on the recruiting trail

..... small point, but if the phrase as above is "are/will be", then with Citron, King, and Westbeld drafted this year, and Miles would have been, so next year, and Hidalgo definitely "will be", THEN it's ALL FIVE STARTERS ---> WNBA.

Definitely one of the most underachieving teams I have seen. I was hoping Hannah might lure some highly rated transfers in....Obviously not looking good right now.

makes you wonder? either it’s admissions or there’s some really bad chatter out there on Ivey or Hidalgo?!
Looks like Williams committed to UConn

Went to the Wings/Aces game last night at ND. Great turnout, very nice tributes to Arike, Jackie and Jewell all got great ovations.
It was such an odd vibe though. Olivia, Watson, Risch all still there along with Hannah, Cass, KK.
Didn’t appear to all be together but it was still weird. I get they are all probably finishing up classes but…
Coach Ivey there w/ the whole staff and got a warm welcome. I wasn’t expecting her to get boo’d but again, the whole vibe was weird, almost like everything is fine. Maybe they all know something we don’t. At this point though, that seems unlikely with the options left out there.

Jackie Young is really good. She scored 28, but man can she lock up defensively. Arike couldn’t shake her. Arike also appeared to be knocking some rust off.

Anyone else there and get that feeling?

I think the average fan and student don’t pay too much attention to the roster turnover, and like Ivey despite the disappointing finishes. Maybe that will change, but Muffet was beloved by students who couldn’t tell you the record of ND WBB at any given time or how far they made it in the tourney.

You really think that our AD is going to get rid of an ND alum that won a National Championship as a player and a assistance coach?

It seems like they need some new blood on their coaching staff, I would make changes to the staff before the head coach.

Who else would they get?

certainly within his rights as an AD to instruct a coach to make changes to his/her staff. She can refuse and put the ball back in his court, but that should mean win or else next year, which is a deal that few coaches will take.

Just as an observation, arrow’s supposed sources are usually never right. So I’d take statements like that with a grain of salt.

However, if you only have 6 scholarship players to start a season I can’t imagine you being able to keep your job regardless of accolades. I mean at that number I’m not sure you can even play games.

I think that there might be more interaction than just this so I'm worried about simple impressions, but Cass Prosper was walking beside Hannah and just pushed past Miles without even looking at her. I thought that more abrupt than the handshake.

These 2 on the same team and on the court together just didn't work. I have to give Ivey credit for trying to make it work and for being able to keep Olivia from transferring last year at this time.

Whatever happened its clear they do not like each other. I'd say lets settle this on the court, but until ND can add more bodies Olivia/TCU has the upper hand.

I hope Hannah goes back to playing like she did her freshman year, she was much better that year than this past season.

Who is this tweeting? Does she have confirmation there wasn't greater falling out besides the Hidalgo stuff?

Well nobody does and it’s all speculation at this point but either way it’s a bad luck for the program

I just think she's out of bounds assuming she knows exactly why Ivey unfollowed Miles, unless she has some information that we don't
