Is this good?
Do you?Does Maine want this to continue?
Ask him.Does he approve of how China's trade and IP theft conduct?
He doesn't have an "issue". He's pointing out that Trump is a bitch after talking a big game. What is his issue here?
Who is advocating for that?We should let China continue to break every rule?
There shouldn't be anything to "wait out" to begin with.We should wait this out?
He doesn't have an "issue". He's pointing out that Trump is a bitch after talking a big game.Or he simply doesn't like the president and no matter what he did he would post this?

You're gonna wait awhile on a straight answer to your actual question. I've asked similar and gotten little more than spin, dodging, answers to a dozen things I didn't ask, and so on. They have no legit answer to this. All the things they believe should work got tried under Biden and failed miserably. They don't have any workable solutions. They just want to gripe and cry and moan.I'm not the one who posted it. I assumed there was a point to it and there was shared opinion by you with his tweet.
I won't ask him so I'll ask you.
What should the US do in regards to China when it comes to trade and IP theft?
I'm not wild about these tariffs but I'm willing to let things play out.
You saying someone isn't going to give a straight answer to something is the most comical thing everYou're gonna wait awhile on a straight answer to your actual question. It's not my post. He has a public Twitter account. Ask him.I'm not the one who posted it.
Chicken shit.I won't ask him
We should ...... At most perhaps strategically tariff certain sectors to help protect industries in the US. Namely robotics, green energy, and products used for the development of AI(Which, by the way, Trump fucked up after the owner of NVIDIA attended a dinner with him)..so how exactly is shit like this helping?. The Harvard Business Review had some good thoughts on this years ago. (1) (2) The trade deficit with them has been falling since 2018 anyways. Our trade with China was mutually beneficial. The IP theft end of things is something that I don't really get too fired up about. It's a lot of paper tiger shit. What should the US do in regards to China when it comes to trade and IP theft?
This is a retarded viewpoint because the administration can't even lay out a cohesive strategy of what they are trying to solve.I'm not wild about these tariffs but I'm willing to let things play out.
He waited 25 minutes. You're gonna wait awhile
No you haven't. This is an absolute lie.I've asked similar

I generally have no problem with strategically VERY intentional tariffs. I've stated this in the past. They are a scalpel, not a hammer. EDIT: I'll even throw you a bone. I thought the tariffs the 1st Trump term enacted were a good thing. They were targeted and directed and produced tangible results (Nike to Vietnam etc)
My biggest issue with China is their human rights record and oppressive government.
The GOP in this country have been stepping on their own dicks since 2008 and refusing to outpace China is areas where we actually could. You're not going to reverse that, let alone re-industrialize the US, because of a three month trade war.
This is a retarded viewpoint because the administration can't even lay out a cohesive strategy of what they are trying to solve.
There are like a million different options — including targeted tariffs — that should be used against China. The easiest would be things like the TPP (uniting all the regional countries against China) or banding together with Europe to sanction them / stop buying Chinese goods. Move more and more manufacturing to Philippines, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, etc. Move more critical manufacturing inside the United States like we were doing with CHIPS Act and TSMC.I'm not the one who posted it. I assumed there was a point to it and there was shared opinion by you with his tweet.

I could write paragraphs on hypothetical moves … none of them involve blanket tariffs on good partners that benefit the United States by selling us stuff we need for cheap.

A medical professional should be able to do this.

Dammit Toronto, I'm a doctor, not an economist!
Nobody mentioned my suggestions for the economy, but nice attempt to deflect and change the subject... again. The issue raised is you and the other beta boys with no suggestions other than the failed, disastrous ideas of the previous admin. You don't have any good ideas or anything other than already proven bad suggestions. You just want to whine and gripe because your side lost and got voted out. Now give a direct reply to THAT instead of dodging and changing the subject and trotting out your usual strawman arguments.
If the Biden admin was an economic disaster what must this admin be?![]()

Again, I'm not an economist. I haven't expressed any opinion about Trump's handling of the economy other than suggesting that instead of you guys melting down every day over every detail, we see how all the tariff stuff plays out. You're the one with nothing except crying and whining about everything all day, every day. You complain about everything, but have no suggestions other than the things Biden tried that were failures and got the dems voted out. Just whining all day, every day about Trump is no solution.I'm not deflecting. I'm literally asking you to explain to us your opinion. A doctor should be able to convey their thoughts like an adult.
So what is Trump doing that you think we're missing. What economic principles do I have wrong? Why don't you find something that I've posted you disagree with and talk like the "doctor" you are. You've demonstrated your deep understand of Dr.Pepper, but I don't think anyone is fooled by your claims of being a "doctor". I know plenty of doctors, and they're able to have a simple discussion about the economy without melting down.
