Well, that was quick.

I don't have premium but this dumbass site design allows me to copy the first few lines regardless, which essentially is the whole story:

"I'm going to take my officials," the 5-foot-10, 200-pound Mickens said. "Right now I do know Notre Dame and UNC. Tennessee is to be determined and so is Missouri. South Carolina is another one."

I like our chances against those 5.

That seems to be their big summer weekend for visitors

Yep, I think the 13th-15th may be bigger at the moment but pretty clear the last two weekends are where they’re loading up on visits. Remember when they didn’t have a single visitor the last weekend last year? They learned from their mistakes

i love that he's a pa guy, but i have seen him play and if you told me he was a 4 star, i wouldn't have ever believed you....he seemed better his freshman, soph years...

I'm curious what the pecking order of the staff's RB board is. I checked Maxpreps and Mickens averaged about 8 YPC. If Maxpreps is correct, DeZephen Walker averaged less than 5.5 YPC, which is a bit concerning.

Walker's team must be garbage. I can't imagine his competition level is the highest, yet his team went 1-10 and averaged less than 200 yards a game. I don't think his stats tell the full story.

He seemed to disappear at times this year based on stats on MaxPreps.

my buddy's son plays for southern columbia...they played him when he was at trinity his freshman year. he was elusive and had speed but he didn't display that from what i have seen this past year....and I have no freaking clue how him or anthony sacca are up for Player of the year in PA....this has to solely be based on rankings and "big name"

I think Mickens won PA Gatorade player of the year because of how he played on the defensive side of the ball. 17 sacks, 21 QB hurries and 2 FF. Sounds like he's a better DE than RB.

Yeah, I would think Stone Saunders is deserving with his season (and career).

What's the knock on him? Put up similar numbers to QB's that have won National Player of the Year awards and his offer list was BLAH

He's only 6'1 and a pocket passer. Only ever rushed for 129 yards this year. Junior year ran for 25 yards. So he doesn't possess prototypical height for a pocket passer, nor the legs of a shorter but shifty QB.

Yes. And a casual viewing of his highlight tape bears this out. He is a better defensive player than he is a RB. There are several RB prospects on ND’s board who I’d push for before even considering Mickens as an option.

Should look at him for defense, he's not elite at rb... could be a prob on def
