I'm just here to overreact.

I would roll my eyes if it's not a Co-DC situation. Until then, I'm assuming it is. Freeman and Mickens went to high school together... I assume their relationship is strong enough that they can have a conversation about a Co-DC arrangement.

Mickens was a CB coach up until this year and frankly probably isn't ready to make the jump to DC.

Because Mickens isn’t guaranteed to stick around. According to Brice, he’s still looking at other offers with Freeman trying to convince him to stay.
