This really has a Tressel/Clarett Ohio State vs The U Fiesta Bowl feel to it.

Nobody gave tOSU a chance against that loaded Miami team. They were gritty and midwestern. Ohio State is now playing the role of The U and Notre Dame is the gritty underdog that runs the ball and plays defense.

I don't recall Krenzel being able to run a lick, though.
I was snowed In during that game in Cleveland, Oh. I actually rooted for OSU because of the old hate I couldn't get rid of from the Miami games of old.
I remember It like It was yesterday, and Maurice Clarette showed up, but wasn't very helpful. Krenzel and company did just enough to win.
We are very similar, and all we need Is the same officiating to get the results we need.

It hasn't really picked at me since the day after the OB win, but y'all are gassing me up real good, now. I'm gonna lose my mind before Monday night gets here.
If you listen to our old linebacker Goolsby, a few different podcast's that he's affiliated with Is asking for us ND fans to stand up, and push our guys to a win through will, and determination alone as a fan base. Gotta respect that love.
Goolsby would be a great guy to have on the field with us on Monday night.

Just my two cents...

The first team to 21 points wins this game. The defensive gameplan has to be limit the big plays and make Howard nickel and dime you down the field and force him to turnover the football. It is imperative to slow down their run game, that way Howard feels the pressure of putting all the weight of the offense onto his shoulders. I firmly believe Will Howard cannot win you a football game, but he can surely lose you one. I am guessing that Chip Kelly will have a heavy dose of rub and crossing routes against our man coverage. The pressure has to get to Howard and we have to have our best game of tackling to limit the yards after the catch. If they're running the football at five, six, seven yards a clip, then I do not see a foreseeable way Notre Dame can win this football game.

Being from Ohio, a national title victory over the Buckeyes would erase the last six games against these assholes.

☘️ SHOCK THE WORLD ☘️
I've heard this on multiple podcasts throughout the last week. I say It's 31-24 ND.

Can anyone find the last time OSU played a true run threat at QB? I know Nico did a lot out of necessity but not design. I’m looking at the schedule under Knowles and they basically have not from a reasonable opponent. Unless I’m blanking they haven’t played someone like Leonard in literally years. Obviously they will rep it in practice (with Devin Brown) and maybe they prepped for Beau Pribula vs PSU but there is something to making those split second decision and having game reps against that QB threat

Probably a JJ McCarthy. He's not like Leonard but he will run.

That QB from Mizzou ran on them quite a bit in the bowl game last year.

Riley Leonard is a designed run QB, and he will take off in man coverage..RL13 is hard to plan for..let's see if God is indeed in his side on Monday. I think ND wins on a last second TD on goal and 3 or less to go. A la Bish push.

USC was the best passing offense Notre Dame faced this season, right? Looking at the schedule, I’d say it was USC and then Louisville (intentionally excluding Georgia due to the loss of Beck).

It's one game for all the marbles I wonder what we got hidden left in the playbook? Do we attempt any fake punts? How often does Freeman get aggressive on 4th down? I think its a game where you gotta take some chances.

This might be the richest headline ever written. I had to double check and make sure it wasn’t a satire site:

I feel like we need to go Rocky II... first two or three drives come out in a complete zone defense, fuck up their entire script. Then at the right time, we switch back to our man to mess with Howard's head.

We're going to eat lightning and shit thunder
You dance with the one you brought to the dance. I expect Al to stay with what has worked. I think he will disguise his coverage a little more than usual so as not to tip his hand. That is where he will confuse Howard IMO.

Looks like poor Rudransh is just pumping out clickbait/SEO-driven garbage all day, on British time so it's there when American audiences wake up in the morning. Like his fascinating piece on whether Donovan and Kurt Hinish are brothers.

Is anyone going to the game interested in my reservation at the Candler Hotel downtown? 1 King. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the stadium.

It’s currently sold out but was > $900/night. I was able to book for $250/n. Just looking to recoup my cost.

PM me if interested

Every time I rewatch the Irish Access from the orange bowl I'm convinced BK's social media dept was a club full of 75 year olds that just figured out how to use a computer
Why do I suspect PC's have been around longer than you've been alive? lol

Man at 56% is still the most man coverage in the country. Golden will disguise coverage and send different blitzes. The Ohio State offense will get theirs at time. The big thing is we need two big turnovers like against Georgia to win. X is the player who can win this game for us.

Michigan and Texas slowed them with zone. Expecting/hoping us to play our most zone thus far. I can already see #2 running crossers...

Brad Powers sucks. If he was good at gambling he wouldn't be constantly talking about his picks. He would just make them and quit his day job.
