Ohio State always has these smallish, white, fast defensive ends who are unblockable. Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, and Sawyer, etc.

Gotta say Texas was pretty disappointing. Definitely didnt show anything special.

Gotta just hardnose run these guys and play man D. Just like Michigan did. If ND plays that way, it can win. If it wants to 50/50 playcall in zone, it is gonna be a loooong night

They’re giving Chip Kelly flowers but their 28 points have 14 from one completely broken fluke play and a defensive TD.

-9 might end up being -12, 13 by game day.

I hope they straight up change the line to -50.
We always play better as the under.
The line pre-playoff was projected to be within 3 points. Sure, since then we’ve lost Mills/Knapp/Spindler and Love is banged up. But 9.5 points is quite steep and isn’t really backed up by any metrics. It’s all vibes + recency bias + projecting ND injuries.

Yup, As I posted in the other thread, None of the metrics would agree with the spread being anywhere near the high. Biggest disconnect I’ve seen for a ND game this year.

Or maybe a few additional data points? OSU has blown out the spread each of the past three games and has shown they’ve learned from their loss to Michigan.

I mean I think we have a chance - but the line is probably sharp.

They did not “blow out the spread” tonight… they got a 90 yard fumble return on goal to go to cover.

Good lord, I didn't think I'd want to beat somebody as much as Kirby Smart, but low and behold, here comes Ryan Day and Jackass Sawyer.

I can only hope that Tosh or Wagner plant his sorry ass into the dirt. He so very much deserves it.

Watching replays all day today with my two boys (snowed-in here in Nashville).... youngest (Christian) asks..."Why all the blocked passes"?...

Had to agree... has anyone else noticed the playoff games with all the blocked passing attempts this year by literally all the defenses this year???

That or just not aware of their surroundings up front, i.e., what you said - bad QB play... what happened to the early 'pump-fake' we used to see back in the day to get the defensive backs/line to react, so the QB could make a play????

Poor QB for whole season but for CFP I would say enhanced preparation by defenses
