I mentioned it in context of Kyle McCord requesting a final 5th year of eligibility from the NCAA and that it seems like it’s just a matter of time before the NCAA adopts this measure. In fact, they already just ruled that 4-year players who have played in Juco and in FCS/FBS can now play a 5th year even if they’ve already played 4 full years. Again, it seems to be where the NCAA is going at this point. Even Lane Kiffin half joked that Jaxson Dart may be applying for a similar 5th year waiver after last night’s game.

Well, let's see... As fast moving as the TP market is, it's very interesting that although Travis Shaw (NC DT entered on 12/10) and Jared Dawson (Louisville DT entered on 12/14) entered the portal way back in mid December, they have yet to commit anywhere and there is NOTHING showing for news in Google for either, other than being mentioned in speculative pieces discussing who ND should be targeting for DL in the porty. So although not confirmed at this point, it sure seems highly probable they coming to The Irish! 🍀🍀🍀

I believe classes start on January 13. It is usually a good tell but some of the transfers won’t be listed. Example, Ty Washington is finishing up his degree at Arkansas over the winter/spring months.

Shaw could be in a similar place, only three full seasons, so he may be finishing up at degree with UNC over the same time span. Dawson would be going into his sixth year, so he’s more plausible. Unless he’s finishing up a masters like Rod Heard this past year and wasn’t enrolled as a student at ND until June.
