When I watched him play he reminded me of a faster RL. Is there any legs to him being interested in ND or just forum talk?
Elite speed with a cannon arm, just needs better ball placement in the intermediate game. I honestly don't see us landing this type of player in modern day until we do and they actually stick.

This all started with a somewhat respected II poster saying they had sources telling them ND was in it for a *big time* reciever because they were close to landing Milroe.

(Something pretty close was the inference)

But yeah, forum stuff pretty much.

ndfan69 has two interesting tidbits:

1) ND has reached out to 4 QBs, all of whom (in his opinion) are national title caliber and well-known to casual CFB fans.

2) Three of those QBs are in the playoffs

I'm guessing Milroe is the odd man out. Ewers was likely one of the three.

Other two: Allar, Klubnik, and/or Jennings?

There’s an expectation I’ve seen that Klubnik would be offered more than Clemson would pay but would likely stay at a “home town” discount

Could see any of these 5 of the playoff names:

Ewers
Manning
Klubnick
Sam Leavitt
Kevin Jennings

guessing not Leavitt or Manning tho

Pure curiosity and not trying to be combative.....but why? What have you seen from him, that you wouldn't have a problem going into next year with him? Sure he's batting 100% at 3/3 in his college career, but seriously...why would you have no problem?

I just wanna get like you, if it happens to play out that way.

Speaking as someone who agrees with @Henges24, I’m ok with Minchey because I’ve seen what Angeli can do. I believe that he’s not physically capable of leading the team to playoff wins. Minchey, however, supposedly does have the physical abilities. I’d rather go with the guy who has potential.

Gotta be Klubnik and Jennings along with Ewers. IU QB is out of egibility, same with Oregons, Georgia’s QB no, maybe Sam Leavitt? But then you would be bringing in a Freshman pissing off everyone else. Klubnik and Jennings make most sense

Scrolling through these random portal entries, reminder on last seasons class:

Leonard - opponent
Oben - opponent
Mitchell - brother of recruit
Heard - Northwestern
Jeter - opponent
Collins - opponent, former recruit
Clark - NFL father
Harrison - opponent

and now Smith - former recruit, Mickens/Freeman territory.

It is rarely random player enters, ND lands.

Leavitt has to be one of them.

I wonder if Nussmeier is the QB not in the CFP tbh. There's an obvious connection there....

Any chance we make a run at Ryan Williams from bama if he enters? Apparently a pretty high academic kid.

Honestly got to thinking if you’re the staff and trying to bring in a guy like Malachi Fields who could probally enter the draft and be a 4-5th round pick,( and apparently we have him locked up already) why would you come here if you are him A. With a rookie QB or B. Not knowing who the QB will be. If I’m the staff I’m all in on trying to get Milroe to come for a year. If he doesn’t come Kyle McCord is a good option he ain’t gonna win anything at Cuse. If you bring in a guy lets say Steve and Minchey tranfer that leaves you with Transfer QB on roster, CJ Carr, Herbert, Buchner if things go south or Rezac the walk on. Thats 5 guys chances are Minchey sticks around regardless and gets his degree

If this is accurate, I would be shocked if Notre Dame doesn’t bring in a guy. You’re not just putting “feelers” out there if that’s the list you’re working off of.

So what is the hold up with CJ? Are they worried he's not healing? I thought he looked so advanced for an EE true freshman in the spring game. Thought he was the clear cut best QB on the field that day.

Now there is a mystery injury during his RS season and he may not recover fast enough to compete for the job in the spring? I'm not asking anyone to steal info but a general rundown would be appreciated.
