I actually think Milroe may be heading to ND, I made a comment on a Bama FB page pretty much trolling about him going to ND. A very legit looking Jalen Milroe FB account "loved" it. I can't say for sure if it's an account actually run by him....but it damn sure looks like it.

Or getting a transfer QB with multiple years of eligibility.
Sort of but it would have to be a true sophomore. Do we know of any true sophomores that would have higher upsides than Carr/Angeli/Minchey and would not cause at least 2 of those 3 to transfer? A junior QB with NFL potential would be 1 and done unless he has a bad year, so I don't see ND bringing in a guy like that unless MF was totally blowing smoke.

Most Bama fans want him gone. It’s an easy post to love on their end.

Ya, I agree and I'm not naive but it looked more legit than I would have thought. I did ask my buddy who could be in the know when it comes to this situation...and he said he's heard nothing about JM to ND.

This would be one of the worst decisions possible after bringing Rees back to ND. Why would you want a guy who didnt have very good stats yet threw to a room full of 4-5 stars, handed off to a 5 star RB and did it all behind a 4-5 star line?

Who are the QBs you guys would consider "home run" types to land? Are there any? DJ Lagway, Leavitt, and Sellers all seem like high upside guys to me (although there isn't too much difference between how Milroe and Sellers play so I don't want to be a hypocrite).

That really doesn’t explain then why schools like Michigan State, PSU, Oregon, and Washington haven’t won a title in forever.

ND pushes guys into FTT. They don’t offer online courses like SEC schools.

Transfers I agree, but you wouldn’t see the results you’d want. It would just be more G5 level players and more meltdowns form the usual bed wetters.

O’Malley said our NiL budget for this year was $15 million, which was in the top 5 among CFB teams. You reach a point of diminishing returns with the money you spend.
Sad if it’s only 15 million let fans donate and make it 30 Michigan is spending 10 million alone on a hs QB 15 million ain’t gonna go far

Very similar to Riley, but to answer your question... because I don't love the alternative. The '25 team is too loaded to fuck it all up with a question mark at QB. The Devil you know is better than the one you don't.

And for shits and giggles. The '25 schedule is whatever. What team beats ND with him at QB next year? Miami... nope, A&M maybe....a 1 loss (especially if it happens week 2) ND team gets to run in back in the playoffs next year. So who cares about his negatives...it's not like we have a season full of UGA, LSU, Ole Miss and whoever else may give him fits.

I think the only true home run would be Archie, everyone else has pros and cons which would keep them out of the home run category for me.

Klubnik or Jennings would be my top guys dual threat. Milroe is right there McCord, Hoover from TCU would be two other Hoover is accurate at 70% almost.

Milroe has his flaws, but his talent is undeniable. Over the past three years, he’s had to adapt to three different coordinators, which has probably affected his development. It’s possible Denbrock sees similarities between Milroe and Jayden Daniels, who he coached into a Heisman-winning quarterback. He may believe he can do the same with Milroe.
Exactly, be careful talking with sense, but most that are casuals don't seem to realize that....Guy was a Heisman contender for half of the season without much of a run game besides himself. Not to mention an upgrade to what we had this padt year, question is how does he fit environmentally.

Lagway(not happening), Sellers(not happening), Nussmeier (not happening). Leavitt is interesting.

I may be in the minority here, but I do not want a transfer QB. I think that is an area we have recruited well enough along with the Oline and RBs that we do not need to bring in a transfer. I would rather bring in a few WR’s to add to that skill set and go with the QBs we have. Spend the money on defense to get a top 5 Dline and secondary to go with our strong LBs. I also disagree that we have to win a national championship to make our mark on recruiting. If we can get to the national championship in a 12 team playoff, that shows vast improvement bc we would have beat Georgia and most likely PSU and we should be able to recruit very well for 2026.

I say let it ride with what we got. Minchey and Carr are who I would cast my lot with.

What about if the coaches know they need a transfer QB and don’t go get one?

Don't want a transfer qb. Want 9-3/8-4 and out of the playoffs a lot less

Then ND really, really needs to look at itself and ask why 4 star QBs cant be coached up to be team leaders 2-3 years into the program.
This is a coaching issue.

The benefit of not taking a transfer QB is you don’t have promises that need to be kept incase you need to go to another QB. You start Minchey or Steve if they aren’t cutting it you go to the next

I can't think of another profession, where people would want a newbie with zero experience to get the job over someone who's produced at a decent level. I'm actually shocked to be honest. Let's risk starting out the season 0-2, that should be fun...but at least we could talk about how CJ or Kenny grew during the season. And the cherry on top would be us getting to have a ton of conversation about why Drayk Bowen is leaving for OSU
