Who are these alleged “big QBs”? I don’t see anyone in the portal who is even good or anyone that projects as an NFL guy that “could” enter the portal.
They aren’t in the portal yet. I bet Haynes King is one of them he’s like a better version of Leonard

Alright I'm officially bored waiting for the army and Navy game. Someone want to DM me the supposed WR transfer?

If this is the case then Freeman is going to look bad. He was adamant that he wasn’t taking a transfer. He could have said worded it much differently.

Things change. Coaches always do this. I’m just personally disappointed because I was ready to not have a 1 year rental at QB. Would be nice to really have CJ Carr be the starter for 3 years and see the development. But to me this signals that 1) Carr isn’t ready because of the elbow set back and 2) they believe they can be even better next year

Also probably doesn't want a first year starter debuting next year at Miami.

Specifically he said “We have no plans on going to the transfer portal for a quarterback”

Plans is the operative word. If Minchey and Angeli were to transfer and CJ Carr were to be hurt, plans would clearly change

We can disagree. Just like the old saying goes. If you are gonna talk the talk you better walk the walk.

If the rumor of paying this guy 3x what Riley and Sam got, I can only see Ewers or Milroe getting that. (Don’t think either are worth that much) but they are the only “big” name possibilities.

I think it's important to consider that the market valuations of these QBs will likely be an order of magnitude higher in this cycle than in the previous one. Reporters have said to expect NIL valuations to ride an upswing for another year before settling. I believe it's reasonable to assume the QBs just cost more this cycle than in previous portal cycles. Whatever we paid for Riley Leonard last cycle is lower than what we would need to pay this cycle for a player of equivalent caliber and production

I think Haynes King announced he was going back to GT

“I’ll probably come back. Nothing’s always official nowadays. I haven’t thought about leaving, haven’t thought about this or that,” he said. “The people that we have in this building, it’s rare. I value relationships with people and the direction that this program is going, it’s by far – you can’t put a digit or a number on it. I’m probably gonna be here next year. Love this team, love the coaching staff, what they’ve done. I’m not one to go back on my word, either.”
-Haynes King

I'm getting mixed signals reading this

One to follow DT Jared Dawson for UL entered 6’2 305 lbs Chad follows him so might be something there had 4 sacks this year

Ewers or Milroe clearly tier 1, but other options that I’d be intrigued by / are a fit:

Arch Manning
Sawyer Robertson
Sam Leavitt
Haynes King
Cade Klubnik
Maddux Madsen
John Mateer

I know it's not happening but Arch taking a look at what denbrock did with Jayden Daniels should intrigue him. But lack of WRs would be an issue
