The ND support staff has grown to the point that I would think the coaching staff will have a smaller amount of time having to focus on the portal. I would think Chad and his crew will be focused on the portal.

Somebody on a pod last week (I think it was ISD, maybe Jamie U) said that ND's support staff has grown to the point it is pretty massive and elite.

He was talking about it in the context of advance scouting potential future playoff opponents but I have heard it about scouting the portal as well.

I think there are guys whose only job is scouting potential free agents all year. Not sure if that includes preemptive tampering as well but hopefully it does.
