I would think there would be a lot more diehard ND fans willing to pony up huge dollars for tickets as oppossed to diehard IU fans, if there is such a thing.
Lots of sudden IU football fans who are excited about what is happening, but are they diehard enough to pony up $1,000?
The issue is that many/most ND fans (some of whom will sell their tickets to IU fans) don't have their tickets yet. When they see that a ticket with face value of $150 (or whatever) is worth $1,000, what will happen?
The economics of this are kind of fascinating.I would think there would be a lot more diehard ND fans willing to pony up huge dollars for tickets as oppossed to diehard IU fans, if there is such a thing.

I had hotels booked in South Bend, New Orleans, Glendale (AZ), Glendale (CA), Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, and Atlanta again but flights might be the thing that keep me out. They're brutal and getting worse.A lot easier to do that from the comfort of your own bed than if you needed a flight and hotel to boot. Most ND fans need those flights and hotels and might rather book time in New Orleans, ego ipso facto - don't get an ulcer when the stadium looks a bit red.
You just described every football game ever played. Stop giving IU more credit than they deserve. They're not even the best team in their state, let alone the playoff.ND better not turn the ball over and play well or Indiana could win this one.

Season tickets were able to guarantee their season seats but they could also enter the lottery for more, and they're sitting around waiting on the results like the rest of us.Season tickets are probably the only ones who know right now.

Party in my room at the luxurious accommodations of the Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami - Airport West.I've got Orange Bowl tickets but no hotel - those aren't pillows??

Maybe they're gamblers - taking their earnings and using it towards some tickets and hotels in NOLA...If there's a lot of red then you know majority of fans are sellouts.

only thing that mattersSP+ has us winning by 4.8....gulp
Lolol....tell him to cancel and in the 1% chance IU wins....he can have my room in New Orleans! My IU buddy just texted me telling me he booked a place in NOLA for the Sugar Bowl. I asked him why an IU fan would pay that kind of money to watch a ND game.
I'll bring the girls, you bring the beer, and the troops will bring the freedom. How many gallons of baby oil to enter?
I think this should be an ND -5.5 line and this could easily be a dogfight in South Bend.
SP+ is only off by 0.7.SP+ has us winning by 4.8....gulp
Only if you don't do the research behind IU's impressive defensive statistics. This game is a toss up.
This feels much more accurate than SP+ tbh. I can see a situation where we're up by 3 scores and IU scores one late to bring it to ~10.Sargarin has us by ~11 fwiw
