Freeman at ISD said that Michigan had backed off a bit in Morris' recruitment in recent weeks and so his commitment to them yesterday came as a bit of a surprise. Definitely sounds like his injury expedited his recruitment. Hope that he has a full recovery and this rushing of his commitment proves unnecessary.

I will say this...I hope Michigan loses every game forward, with the exception of OSU....just cause Buckeye tears are sweeter than skunkbear. That said, I applaud UM for accepting his commitment. Too often today, schools and coaches ignore the human aspect of these type of situations. Morris can make a full recovery and be every bit of good as what his ranking suggests (and hopefully for his sake that happens). But Michigan doesn't have to roll the dice on if he does or doesn't. I hate Harbaugh and company, but they did the right thing and I give them credit for it.

I wouldn't applaud Harbaugh just yet. He's booted others out to make room for someone else.

Very odd.

I think the WR coach but that is just a guess.

I meant why is losing out on Morris mean wide receiver recruiting is not good?

The staff is pushing hard for Williams and Merriweather. If we lose out on those two I’ll be concerned.

I'm concerned that we only have two "top rated" recruits. I always trust the staff but if you're looking to bring in upgraded talent, it's usually nice to have 5-8 prospects with high interest. Hopefully we can bat 1.0000 with our remaining top prospects.

The WR board has a little more to it than that. ISD just did an interview with Andre Greene’s coach. Very much on the Board. Nicholas Anderson is a 4 star from TX with a visit scheduled.

We could add WR Taylor Groves to that list as well. However, he did a recent interview where he said he likes the idea of playing DB more than WR. So, we’ll see what happens with that. As of now, he’s a WR recruit.

This could make things interesting down the stretch if there numbers get tight.

As lucky stated, the receiver board is bigger than the two I mentioned. They are recruiting more than two but they are pushing for Williams and Merriweather pretty hard.

I haven’t followed him at all at Michigan but ND would have to have a look. Kick in the tyres. Is he fast? Does he have good hand.

Morris, Brown and Fleurima to date for their careers. Hard to say if they could have done more at ND or not, but this isn't setting any worlds on fire.
