On this board there is consistent whining about WR recruiting but our guys keep catching passes and blocking well for our RB's. I like where we are and as long as we continue to run the ball effectively, the receivers will get their catches regardless if the are 5 or 2 star recruits or Lax players.

This is doing A LOT of lifting. Route running matters and why someone like faison rises to the top of ND's room as an undersized walk on.

has the measurables but didn't produce at all in HS, unless you are like Jared Verse who played football down the road from me at a local high school.... didn't do shit but was offered a scholarship to Buffalo just based on his size....well he blossomed in college 4 years later and is now likely Def rookie of the year....i don't think we are missing this one

I did want him, but looking at his film and stats, he doesn't seem to have made the jump most were hoping he would.

The one thing you can say about Bettis and Burress. They may not have Meadows' raw tangibles, but they definitely took major leaps forward in their senior year and showed significant progress as receivers. I didn't see that from Meadows.

Doesn't mean he isn't going to be a stud, but he didn't show the kind of progress we were hoping to see when ND seemed to have a shot with him. That's a bit concerning.
