Lol. We’re not talking muskets and cannons. Get ready for A bombs on 1,000 cities dumbos
Suuuuure lol. Russia is fighting with fucking farm vehicles and tanks from the 70s, but they certainly have the capability to start leveling cities.

They've just been taking it easy on Ukraine and bleeding themselves dry because of their altruism.

Um, Giddyup has an indirect line to the Kremlin. All the Russian-owned social media accounts he follows definitely don’t fill his head with propaganda. He’s got it on very good authority ⬇️

Just put a flag in your profile pic, be louder than your opponent that you want Ukraine to win like it is an SEC game, and don't ask questions when you send more money to Ukranian oligarchs. Works great.

CNN had an article last week about Russia encircling Ukranian troops. Couldn't find it, but here's one from the BBC.

Yes russia is advancing, at an incredibly slow rate and at a cost in manpower that won't be sustainable for long. Ukraine is also low on manpower which is why they need support from the west and we should give them what they need to fight.

North Dakota pointed out Russia was making ground and you said you never saw the tweets he's seen that would support that. I simply provided a response that they are doing just such. It may be slow, but it's an advance none the less. Posting an article that shows Russia making ground doesn't mean I don't support Ukraine. I've always supported funding Ukraine.

The US media won’t tell you the truth about the action on the ground or the true death tolls or at least not make it consistent front news. Russia has picked up their advance since mid-August though. And anybody who wants to play chicken or have a cavalier attitude about nukes or even a suitcase bomb is a friggin moron. Have fun watching your family die of cancer as the world burns sicko

Russia isn't going to do anything, they have threatened so many times with crossing "red lines" yet have done nothing. It isn't in the West favor to bow down to terrorist russia

Lol. You have no idea about the geopolitics in the region except what you’re fed. FYI the CIA inserted a corrupt Ukraine government in 2012 which validated Russia’s worst fears. Just wait till you can start spewing the axis of evil shit again if China needs to get in.

What are these normal pro Ukraine accounts? Because I follow a decent amount of accounts and have seen none of that.
I follow some account called AMK Mapping. ISW too is certainly pro Ukraine. Sometimes I check in on some German journo named Julian Roepke. He tweets a lot in German but plenty in English too. Then random ones pop up in the feed. I keep tabs on some of the Russian superfans too. Doesn't take long to determine whether an account is helpful or not.

When I say normal I mean not the dog people, or accounts that are pretty clearly are just cheerleaders or writers at English language publications in Ukraine.

Color me shocked. Terrible foreign policy president made terrible foreign policy decision. Putin knew in 2014 that we'd never back up Ukraine and wasn't thwarted at all.

How'd that work out on this 3 day special military operation? 😂

Romney took him seriously. Obama proceeded to make fun of him with a smugg one liner.

Sick burn, Barrack. Good stuff.

Obama was weak. He was the ultimate empty shirt, all hat - no cattle, talks a big game kind of guy. Endless blathering and pontificating and sound bites, but not much substance. He was infinitely more concerned with his image, with sounding cool, with "hope & change" than with actually getting real stuff accomplished. Everything was "How will this play on the news?" or "How will this poll?" instead of actually doing the hard work and accomplishing useful stuff and letting that speak for itself.

Even though Ukrainians didn't want a Russian puppet goverment?
Idk if we know what they really want based on reality. They seem to think they will get enough help to reclaim all the land that they (rightly or wrongly) believe should be theirs.

In Gladiator's opening scenes, one of the officer's says, "people should know when they are conquered." I think that sorta applies here. Ukraine is always gonna be in Russia's shadow. And western powers aren't gonna go war economy to change that.

It's gonna be a rump state when this ends. They just haven't accepted that yet. They've lost like 25% of their population who moved to more prosperous countries...those people aren't coming back. It's an ever aging country without an economy. Russia isn't much better off. Eastern Europe is in a sad state.

Their only real hope to get out of the shadow of Russia is to get admitted to NATO.

I wonder if Trumps deal to end the war would be something like this:

Russia gets the tiny republics they have declared theirs plus keep Crimea.

All the rest is Ukraine with full NATO membership with troops stationed there.

Could they even get admitted?
I know they want to be admitted. They applied in 2022. I don't know where the application stands. Personally, I think it would be a good move. Except for Belarus, it basically keeps Russia from doing anything stupid without having to deal with the major players.

I mean that's Ukraine's hope now. If you talk to them they're fine letting the Donbas go, bigger issue is the non Crimean stuff in the South they lost.

If the war ends I think Ukraine's hope is EU membership and improved economic growth from that leading to a lot of Ukranians in Europe to return. Then having a large standing army/ready reserve for mobilization like Israel.

Them being allowed to posses nukes again should be important too.

Don't forget Iran and China
With oil dropping again I wonder how Iran and Russia keep financing this. NK is sending artillery and men to keep the lights on. Once Russia runs through its reserves they can't pay for mercenaries any more.
