Win the heisman or a natty and the entire fan base will learn it or change it to make it rhyme for the campaign

At this point, they’re probably settling for a kid that doesn’t expect to play much and they don’t expect to bail. If Carr gets the job in 25 and they lose Angeli and Minchey, they have one scholarship QB.

At first, I rolled my eyes when I read Mahan, but you could see what he could be if he develops. Above average arm, good mobility and good pocket awareness. Also looks like his junior year was his first year as a starter, and that he played receiver before that so somewhat of a late bloomer.

His film looks pretty good actually. Was particularly impressed to see him keep his eyes downfield while scrambling and then making the throw.

6'4, basketball player, plays in the trinity league....I'm intrigued

Well not if were recruiting him for Football....Considered himself a Basketball guy first but stopped growing, he's been average at QB so far but I guess we will see his progession, i'd have him at least 6th in potential replacements.

What you suggested is the least they should do. They could also make public statements without mentioning individuals. "Notre Dame is still searching for its 2024 QB..." or something like that. There are ways to reduce the amount of egg on our face. Use the media the same way they use the media when a good thing happens.
Yea because surely other kids would appreciate seeing a current “commit” being hung out to dry regardless of what is actually happening behind the scenes. I can guarantee you this would make recruiting more difficult, but hey at least the optics would make you happier as a fan..until you started bitching about them not being able to get kids to commit to begin with anymore.
