The orioles need to fire Hyde. That guy can’t figure out how to win when he needs too. His lines are bad.
I was pulling for the Orioles. Sucks they lost but they'll be good for a long time. Solid young core and stacked in the farm. Bright days ahead

I lost my mind when Ibañez his the bases clearing double. What a win. Gritty Tigers journey continues!
I had to leave to go get my allergy shots when the Astros took a 2-1 lead. Went to dinner in the way home, pulled up espn and saw the final. Didn’t expect that outcome.

Looking forward to Padres-Dodgers. Should be fantastic. Padres are going to be very tough to beat. Their closer Suarez was hitting 102 mph tonight and they have good starting pitching. Also Schlidt v. Roberts.

I was surprised they didn't advance. Figured they would be the one to bounce my Yankees.

I love this time of year.

162 regular season games and now it's best of three. "Favorites" go down and the knee jerk reactions come out.

Bats went cold at the wrong time. Last time this happened was 2014 when the Royals went on to win it all. I remember watching them eliminate the O’s at a bar in South Bend the night before the UNC/ND game.

one of many examples over the years proving that money (while helpful) guarantees nothing when it comes to titles
So true. The Yankees have pretty much been the big spender for decades and don't have a lot to show for it. You get yourself a couple of good starters and a closer, those big bats go silent pretty quickly which has been the Yankees problem for a while. They can't seem to get a couple of good starters and decent bullpen.

The same year y'all whooped my Tigers right out of the postseason. Camden seemed absolutely electric in those games. Still haven't been out there but that's very high on my bucket list to visit that ballpark.

Both games one and two were incredibly suspenseful. Playoff baseball is simply on a whole different level.

And the GM in charge of getting "a couple of good starters and a decent bullpen" has been in charge the entire time and has failed miserably. And still has his job.

Y’all? I’m not a Royals nor an O’s fan.

Build a core then spend around it. Yankees always do the opposite. That’s why my Sox have 4 rings since the Yanks have had one.

Edit: I guess that 2009 team counts. 👎🏻

Which is absolutely amazing to me. When he first got the job he was nailing it every year, but George was still alive and willing to spend more which is probably why Cashman was so good back then. lol

He must have some pics on the rest of the Steinbrenner family.

Big games 1 for Dodgers and Yankees. They need to start out with wins at home v. 2 pretty hot teams. Interested to see how KC looks in particular. Fully expect SD to bring it with LA.
