ND will be without TE Cooper Flanagan on Saturday. Here's what I recently read on recent Louisville injury updates ...

Louisville Wide receiver Jadon Thompson (6 catches for 88 yds. and 2 TD's this yr.) is out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury. Louisville may be without two more starters in RB Maurice Turner (16 carries and 87 yds this yr.) with a high ankle injury, and CB Quincy Riley. The redshirt senior's injury (Riley) was undisclosed, but he was seen wearing a boot on his right foot on Monday morning. Brohm said he's "not optimistic" about Turner's return for ND.

I think it may be fair to say this is the biggest game of Freeman's career thus far.
Of course the Ohio State game last year had more build up...but if this team with all the returning talent and expectations goes 3-2 into the bye week in his third season then almost everyone will begin to wonder if he is the right man to move this program forward.

If he cannot get the boys up for a program that ruined thier season last year in rather embarrassing fashion, then I would have to start to wonder myself.

Very excited for the boys this weekend to begin to change the narrative on the season. I took ND -6.5 last night. Got the worst of the number, but I believe we're going to see a very fired up bunch for this one. An Louisville injuries seem to be pointing in our direction

If we can win by 2+ touchdowns then the playoffs are very much back on.
Go Irish!

The only hope I have is that I have almost no hope they win this game & when I’m this frustrated & down it’s usually an over reaction..

How many explosives have we had this year on O? Most have been from the rb’s. Thank goodness we can run the ball or we’d possibly be 1-3.

What was Flanagan's injury after that botched pass attempt by Leonard?

Not many through the air, though Greathouse dropped one explosive to be sure. Riley did draw a few flags this past weekend that were pretty well thrown, and then connected with Collins (finally).

I feel like we haven't schemed the TEs too much yet. Some underneath stuff to them but would love to see them open up the middle of the field by hitting Evans and/or Raridon down the seams. If Louisville stacks the box to stop the run, that could be a great counter, and we haven't seen much of that yet at all. Maybe the PA pass to Cooper against Purdue with Angeli, that's all I can think of.

Quincy Riley being out / banged up is pretty huge. He's projected to be a top 2-3 round pick right now.
Not worried about him playing at all.

RL always throws to his first option anyways... Denbrock can easily just avoid him all game.

Left ankle injury per the update I read .... "pulled up lame late in the first quarter after stretching for a short pass that sailed out of his reach"

Do you think anyone on staff has sat down with MF and explained to him why we are only 50th in total offense despite playing three cupcakes? While the third running option is nice in RL we need a guy who can use the whole field.

Guy has done some research, unlike many for give "picks" and he's basically right about ND and their spotty offense, but he doesn't really address the fact that Louisville hasn't played anyone any good. Yeah they've shredded two patsies and one medicore ACC team. But will that convert vs Golden? I like the Irish here. His score of 28-24 is about right, just flip it.

Looks like Gray is okay if you read his thread.

I'm really interested to see what Golden does against the run this time around. Article I read discussed how Brohm was scheming his plays to get the D out of position which created those big runs.
