So who slid in for Jagusah at LT today? Baker or Absher?
So who slid in for Jagusah at LT today? Baker or Absher?
There may be something to this but have to see the cost benefit. If you're doing you're best to push you're body to the absolute limit we may have to deal with some of this. If Greathouse goes from a 4.65 guy to a 4.5 guy because of Landow, we may care less about who the left tackle is.![]()
Keeler: Does Broncos Country owe Loren Landow an apology? New coach. New staff. Broncos still can’t shake this injury bug.
A month until the regular season, and the Broncos top the NFL, per Spotrac, in salary cap dollars stuck on injured reserve.www.denverpost.com

Exposing the Real Culprit in Broncos' Sustained Injury Woes
Fans want to know why the Denver Broncos seem to be afflicted more by the injury bug than any other NFL team.www.si.com
This is a horrible statistic and his tenure is off to a terrible start with Rubio/Jagusah already significantly hurt. Not pointing the finger, but Freeman better have vetted this guy very thoroughly. The Broncos beat guy said Lanndows teams always had more injuries. Like top 5 in nfl. Starting to wonder.
You shouldn't. The Broncos had a ton of issues while Landow was there and people have run numbers on most-injured teams and found nothing to substantiate it was related to Landow. Players and staff are singing the virtues of Landow heading into the season. His past players give him credit for their careers and transformations. The Broncos beat guy said Lanndows teams always had more injuries. Like top 5 in nfl. Starting to wonder.
Do you recall how many injuries we've had every. single. year? This is a horrible statistic and his tenure is off to a terrible start with Rubio/Jagusah already significantly hurt. Not pointing the finger, but Freeman better have vetted this guy very thoroughly.
Yes I do. Dude better be the real deal with that statistic though. Super pissed about losing Jagusah. Hope Baker comes through but Jagusah looked to be the real deal and lock down a vital position.Do you recall how many injuries we've had every. single. year?
A few years ago, it was a foot epidemic.
Then we lost Gobaira to a non-contact ACL.
Jadarian Price blew out his achilles a couple years back.
Raridon has done two ACLs
Every WR had hammies pulled last year
You guys are out of control, ha ha.
These are my fears also. Kid's pass blocking has been suspect everytime he's played. Hope he feeds me enough crow for a lifetime this season.Baker at LT is code for we are in big trouble.
I've rarely seen an olineman have a significant turnaround for pass blocking. This is my biggest concern. TAM's dline is no joke at all and has one of the best pass rushers in the country. Was hoping Absher may be given a look to start or even Lambert. I've seen Baker pass block before, and it's hasn't been pretty. LT is way too imporant of a position to not have a good pass blocker.I'm skeptical about Baker at tackle like everyone else. The other linemen have an opportunity to emerge.
The best possible outcome is Baker is this year's Asmar Bilal. Maligned for his lack of aggressiveness and ability to execute when called upon and then in his 5th year, was surprisingly consistent and nearly forgotten about because he played so well.
Perhaps we'll have to chip more with the tight ends/RBs. Denbrock will need to be extra creative to move the pocket, and have a lot of plays that are quick to execute or punish aggressive defenses: screens, quick slants, JETs, RPOs, etc.
So true. Never had to deal with injuries before this guy got here. I even got injured while watching one of his training videos. This is a horrible statistic and his tenure is off to a terrible start with Rubio/Jagusah already significantly hurt. Not pointing the finger, but Freeman better have vetted this guy very thoroughly.
I did hear that about his Broncos teams which is a little bit concerning. What sucks is you have to wait and see if that was a him problem, a coaching problem, or just a run of bad luck. It’s definitely going to look bad on Freeman if we end up injury prone after he brought in his choice and with the history he had in the league. I’m still hoping for the best but there were a lot who questioned the hire specifically because of his injury rates in the league. The Broncos beat guy said Lanndows teams always had more injuries. Like top 5 in nfl. Starting to wonder.
Wow thought Rocco would be starting. Coogan refuses to give it up.Coogan starter at LG with Rocco sprinkling in per Driskell
LOL I will chilll out on Landow. Just frustrated about the significant injuries already. He deserves a fair shake. So true. Never had to deal with injuries before this guy got here. I even got injured while watching one of his training videos.
Im not sure either have been named starter. They are probably both getting looks with the first team in different practices/scenarios. I'd assume that will take place for another week or two.Wow thought Rocco would be starting. Coogan refuses to give it up.
Cheers brother!LOL I will chilll out on Landow. Just frustrated about the significant injuries already. He deserves a fair shake.
Helps separate the men from the boys.Landow’s training program breaks feet?
The II guys said he was taking #2 reps at RT, not LT. That makes more sense since Baker moving to LT created an opening at the #2 RT spot.Ty Chan with #2 reps at LT behind Tosh...that's, interesting. Very slow feet.
Really hope Landow is able to get Tosh more mobile. Really the only thing that has plagued him.
Agree. They're not going to simply put some one in there and make them the LT. They'll give each enough reps to see who fits best. I also like keeping Wagner at RT. Moving multiple people means multiple people learning new positions and less continuity.Im not sure either have been named starter. They are probably both getting looks with the first team in different practices/scenarios. I'd assume that will take place for another week or two.
Ty Chan took back up RT, not LT - still don't like.
