Did the DNC and Biden camp expect anything different tonight? It's hard to believe they did. I suspect that this was exactly what they knew would happen and done to effect a change at the top of the ticket.

Like the people stating they were shocked with the Biden performance tonight. Where have you been the last four years? Nothing shocking if you have been paying attention.

Suddenly, a Cis white man looks good to democrats. But pushing Kamala out of the way for him would probably not fair well in the black community.

This while black support for Trump is increasing and he will probably pick a black man for his running mate.

She broke the glass ceiling and is super qualified and amazing. Implying she isn't great is very racist and sexist. If Joe should fall, it should be her. Someone has to defend all this wild success they've had for four years.

Those two got down in the dirt for sure. Best thing Trump did, was keeping quiet while Joe spoke. He had a few instances where he interjected, but by in large he kept his mouth shut which was surprising.

I guess the whole issue of Merrick Garland refusing to turn over the audio tapes of Biden's interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur becomes a moot point. The world saw and heard all the things that Garland was trying to prevent them from hearing.

It's also crystal clear why Hur chose to not prosecute.

Or they just ignore her? If they’re replacing Biden they’ll do it with someone that will win the election or what’s the point? Why would they bother replacing him with someone that’s more unpopular than he is? The people you’re supposing will be mad about her being snubbed hate her. She was an unlikable candidate and nothing she’s done in office has improved her image.

The optics would be awful. And yes, there are people who like her. Clyburn delivered SC to Biden because of her. The media loves her. There are more pieces at play here than you are admitting.

Having said that, I would be ok with Newsome. I could live with him.

Besides, it would be good for a Cis white man to come to the rescue of the democrats. It would be very ironic and satisfying.

The story is about the media!!! lol let’s not focus on the human carcass decaying in front of everyone’s eyes but how much muh fee-fees hurt cuz media hurtz me! CNN could have David Duke moderate and we’d still see Redsteeze complain lmao.

At large people don't like her. Democrats don't like her. There's a reason she had to drop out as early as she did. It was because she had no support. She's a former cop who hid evidence against people to keep them locked up as a DA.

Republicans already wouldn't vote for her and now in addition to how unlikable she already was they can hang the last 4 years of their grievances on her too.

I doubt Newsome would agree to jump in at this point. I'm sure he'd rather just wait it out and run in 2028 since he seems like the obvious next in line. Maybe the DNC can talk Pete into doing it? He'd slaughter Trump in the debates. Checks the LGBT box too.
