This isn't a big deal, it's a stress fracture surgery. He will be able to do full workouts in 8 weeks. Everyone is overreacting. This isn't a blessing. We have a new OC, new QB, all new WRs and WR coach. This is a big deal so I'm not going to down play it, and we play in arguably the toughest place in America in week 1. Steve isn't it IMO, but I hope I'm wrong.
It's not the recovery of the injury, it's missing a spring given the dynamics I mentioned IMO.This isn't a big deal, it's a stress fracture surgery. He will be able to do full workouts in 8 weeks. Everyone is overreacting
Out most of spring with stress fracture that required surgery.
ND needs to break that rule and have the QB and receiving room practicing an hour or 2 every day for the next 6 months. F the rules.![]()
I’m not sure how some of you equate this as not a big deal. You have very limited time to practice with your team. Running 7 vs 7 in the summer isn’t practicing football. He’ll have only a few weeks in fall camp to practice and play football with a new team and new coach.
Interviewing for any AD jobs? Cutting edge strategy thereND needs to break that rule and have the QB and receiving room practicing an hour or 2 every day for the next 6 months. F the rules.
Until CJ wins the job and the other two transferIMO, it's a net positive for the future but not gonna lie... felt this year could be special if Leonard and the WR room hit on all cylinders.
Was hoping for a Kizer-'15 kinda year from Leonard but this is the kind of setback that puts order to your QB room for years to come.
I think you are correct in regards to the injury itself. What hurts is the offense is growing around Angeli and not getting the opportunity to build rapport & familiarity w/ the new guy. Most stress fractures that require surgery take a 8 week recovery time. We do not need to freak out
So is this a re-aggravation of his original injury or an altogether new injury?
Did I miss something? He just gave Freeman’s quotes from the presser, but maybe I missed it.Free article from Rivals. Eric Hansen does nice job of explaining the injury & subsequent surgery.
