And from the looks of it, ND's literally in his ear.
I would hope so, definitely a nice pickup if we can land him.

There’s still plenty of time for movement. Once Spring practice is over, the numbers will adjust accordinglyAccord to the scholarship chart we need to cut 3 more players to get to 85. Any word on who it could be.

More A&M attrition
spread could change between now & game. Still unknowns on offense w/ unproven tackles, new QB, new WR. Irish defense should be strong but TAMU has good QB returning from injury IIRC.Yeah they’ve had a good amount of transfers out.
Add in 7-6 last year and I can’t quite make sense of A&M -1.5 against ND week one. Sure they’re home + Mike Elko, but feels like we should at least be favored no?
More A&M attrition
Stanford scored 23 on us and Clemson 31(pick 6 hurt)… A&M should have better offenses than both those teamsTheir defense should be decent but I don't see their offense being able to score more than 10 points on us.
And OSU scored 17 and USC scored 20.Stanford scored 23 on us and Clemson 31(pick 6 hurt)… A&M should have better offenses than both those teams
And Stanford scored 7 of those points when we were up 53 (or 56)-16 so maybe against 2nd and 3rd team?Stanford scored 23 on us and Clemson 31(pick 6 hurt)… A&M should have better offenses than both those teams
- Well that's a bit more than "don't see A&M scoring more than 10"And OSU scored 17 and USC scored 20.
I think our D is good, but you and a few others keep giving examples of where we give up more than 10, significantly more than 10.And Stanford scored 7 of those points when we were up 53 (or 56)-16 so maybe against 2nd and 3rd team?
And their offenses were way better than A&M. I'm talking shut out!And OSU scored 17 and USC scored 20.
fixed itI honestly believe that the departure of Gerad, Sam Hartman and some of our receivers should result in our defense giving up 3-7 fewer ppg.
It was incredible what our defense was able to do given how often the offense would just totally disappear.
If we score more points, other offenses will push to score more as well. When our offense disappeared, other teams could be more conservative offensively (see ohio state).I honestly believe that the departure of Gerad should result in our defense giving up 3-7 fewer ppg.

OSU was not conservative against ND. ND shut down their pass attack. They threw the ball 37 times, managing only 21 receptions and no touchdowns. Seventy five percent of their offensive production on the season came through the pass game and ND was having none of it.If we score more points, other offenses will push to score more as well. I do think our defense can be better than last year. Although I didn't love our LB play, we are very inexperienced there after Kiser. Also, although DJ brown was assignment correct, he made bonehead plays or easy misses on all 3 scoring drives for Ohio State, 2 big TDs by clemson, and 2 back breaking long runs vs Louisville. We may not have someone as assignment correct there, but you have to expect someone that can actually make a play to be there.
