People forget how good Weigmann was prior to injury. They are going to have v good QB + top 20 defense at the minimum.
I know you've mentioned this before but I just don't see this as being that noteworthy.

New Mexico: 18/23, 78.3% comp pct., 236 yards, 10.3 yds/att, 5 TD's/0 INT's
Miami: 31/53, 58.5%, 336 yards, 6.3 yds/att, 2 TD's/2 INT's
Louisiana Monroe: 25/29, 86.2%, 337 yards, 11.6 yds/att, 1 TD/0 INT's.
Auburn: 8/14, 57.1%, 70 yards, 5 yds/att. 0 TD's/0 INT's.

So, he shredded two terrible teams and struggled mightily against two teams with a pulse?

The ACC seems to have figured out that scheduling byes before one of their teams plays us hasn't helped them...

Is UNC gonna be decent this year?

Seems like 2/3 teams play them right before us including FSU

Where is the army game being played? Saw a tweet that it's likely to be on Nov 23

ACC were smart they'd start seeing ND as a defacto conference member and set us up for success
They clearly don’t see us that way. They even just fucked us over with second-tier bowl games.

Agreed, between the bowl game fiasco, the magic of always having bye weeks before ND, and clear bias from ACC refs against ND, I'd be having some frank conversations with them.

Rumor was Yankee stadium

Don't you just love playing only six home games in South Bend...

The last I read was Army (Yankee Stadium) on 11/23. Army's website only shows Air Force being played on November 2. They play Navy the week following conference championship games. I know Army's schedule is still being finalized due to their AAC affiliation, but I'd bet that they find a way to play the game on that 11/23 date. Notre Dame in Yankee Stadium is huge for Army.

Love that for them. But we're already playing Navy in the Meadowlands this year. What do we get out of playing two service academies at pro stadiums in the same market a month apart?

a half dozen injuries to D-Linemen. I also don't like scheduling two academies.

I agree. I don't like seeing two service academies on the schedule. I also don't like seeing ND play two service academies in two pro stadiums on the schedule. I really don't like seeing six home games. Michiana/South Bend residents and the hotels, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and liquor stores needs all the help it can get. That's a discussion for another day.

We should offer Army a game at ND in ‘24 and a game at Yankee some year soon when we aren’t already playing another game in New York.
