Ohio has restricted gender reassignment surgery, puberty blockers, and hormone treatment for minors, required parental permission to diagnose and treat gender dysphoria, and banned genetic males from playing on female sports teams in high school and college. The pendulum is starting to swing back towards reality and sanity.

It still amazes me that allowing kids to decide to do hormone therapy, take puberty blockers, or have gender reassignment surgery is even a thing or that there are any rational adults advocating for it. With few exceptions, we don't allow minors to purchase alcohol or tobacco, vote, buy guns, drive until late adolescence, join the military, gamble, enter into contracts, date adults, have elective surgery, skydive, get a tattoo, or do a hundred other things for the simple reason that they don't have the experience, knowledge, or wisdom to make good life choices and understand long-term consequences. Letting a child decide to have their body surgically or hormonally altered to such a drastic degree should be unthinkable to normal people.

It looks like the Senate is going to pass something on the border that basically gives the white house the ability to shut the border down (COVID authority outside of a public health emergency). The house seems to think they'll be able to block this.

They haven't thought through the fact that Biden can say I wanted to shut down the Border but Mike Johnson wants to keep it open AND have half the senate Republicans agree with him.

Given that the Biden border is WIDE open and he has done nothing but enact policies that open our border up to people from all over the world to millions of people- we have no reason to believe he recognizes a problem or has any desire to fix it. Even if he stopped now, you have a massive undocumented and illegal population in the country. He made a mess.

The US used to be against the spread of communism and celebrate Presidents that worked to do so, understanding other nations fate was intertwined with our own. I think most people would be on board with that, but that is just me.

It's no different than Trump signing an executive order to cap Insulin prices only to have Biden nullify it on day 1. Then it's brought back later under Democrats to be a feather in the cap. It's funny that the border problem got exponentially worse on Biden's watch.
