Right, and context is probably important. Notice that the page is titled "Gender incongruence and transgender health in the ICD" Is it labeled "Gender affirming care for soccer stars suffering from a hormone imbalance and confident in their gender identity?"

I took the definition from the AAMS website BTW. Here's a few more from :
-Gender-affirming care is generally understood to be medical care that many transgender and nonbinary people need as part of their gender transition.
-Gender Affirming Care usually refers to providing medical treatment to people with gender dysphoria to help align their physical as far as possible with their chosen gender.
-Gender-affirming care is a supportive form of healthcare. It consists of an array of services that may include medical, surgical, mental health, and non-medical services for transgender and nonbinary people.
-Gender -affirming care is medically necessary for the well-being of many transgender and non-binary people who experience symptoms of
gender dysphoria, or distress that results from having one’s gender identity not match their sex assigned at birth.
-Gender-affirming care is medically necessary, evidence-based care that uses a multidisciplinary approach to help a person transition from their assigned gender – the one the person was designated at birth – to their affirmed gender – the gender by which one wants to be known.
-Planned Parenthood believes you deserve high-quality, compassionate health care — no matter your gender identity. Most of our health centers provide hormone therapy and other gender-affirming services for transgender and nonbinary patients.
Notice the pattern how they all refer to either patients with gender dysphoria, or trans/binary patients, or transitioning? Just take the L already, you keep digging this hole lol. A hormonal treatment doesn't mean you're getting gender affirming care. My mother has an issue with her pituitary gland as she aged, she gets hormone treatments as a result. It doesn't mean she's getting gender affirming care.
I was going to say that your whole premise with Messi is based on a lie, why should I waste time with the 12 year old story? But, I gave you the benefit of the doubt and read it anyway. You gave me an opinion piece, and by a self proclaimed political satirist no less. That's some strong evidence! Thanks for wasting my time. Sorry, but his case, nor Messi's, fits the definition of "gender affirming care."
