I mentioned earlier in the thread that a friend of mine (Auburn alum) mentioned that they had been dating since high school. Presumptively, she's most likely upset that he's looking to go to South Bend, Indiana - a mere 12 hours away when he has the opportunity to select Auburn, where she attends and their home state school.

Who knows? He's gotta do what's right for him. That said, I always thought Auburn was way more in play than Ohio State. It's a Notre Dame / Auburn race, in my opinion (I still think he commits to Notre Dame, it may just take a little more time, coaxing, and reassurance).

Ya, I see what you're saying. I can't imagine ND with their OC and weapons being able to bring a QB in over an OSU. Aub is an easier battle to win, but still an easy battle to lose. This all kinda sucks, as it would be the 2nd time in 2 years MF ended up whiffing on a QB he thought was all but in.

He's not even being recruited by Auburn. They're not even taking a QB in the portal(which, IMO, is incredibly dumb by them). ND fans are the only ones panicking.

Hope we lock this up. I fear there is some delusion surrounding expectations for Angeli. I’d be completely stunned if he’s a championship caliber QB. I think the staff would also be shocked (clearly they’re contented to lose him) given his limited PT and desire for Leonard. Not sure who the backup plan for portal QB is. I bet we get Leonard still but something certainly seems off if not announced by tomorrow.
