Well judging from what TAMU players are saying this week ND by actually handing over promised NIL money (no matter the amount) is still better than what the Aggies are doing lol

I think Kyle Kennard is a better player but I'll gladly take Oben. He's long and can get at the QB. His dad played in the NFL for over a decade and won a Super Bowl with the Bucs in 2002-2003. Was looking at his HS offer list and he had a bunch of Ivy League offers as well as NW and Vandy, so he definitely values academics. Would be a great fit at ND.

That. And playing big games on a big stage. And the chance to get a legit degree. Etc. Etc.
We have a lot to offer, especially for guys who've been around college football a few years and maybe seen that a lot of what they were sold coming out of high school was kinda bullshit.

I think it is very reasonable to think that while we may not be the leader in undergrad/sophomore transfers, we could become the premier destination for guys with degrees in hand. And who knows—maybe admissions and the dynamic duo of Dowd and Bevacqua can at least help us get some undergrad types from institutions that can keep incoming undergrad transfers on the four year plan. It’s not far fetched.

I think this is the right approach. The kids who expect the bag just for signing out of high school are probably not the kind of student athletes that will find success at ND. Upperclassmen/graduate transfers with proven track records seems to be the safer approach, even if it's frustrating to be missing out on some of the Top 50 guys out of high school every year (with certain exceptions, obviously).

I haven't come across anything definitive on this, but from what I've gathered from the various sites, ND is willing to take all 3.
