The UK reporters are getting into the action too. A Kentucky recruiting site badly misquoted Brandon and after reading the article he was so turned off to the media that he no longer does interviews, at least for now.

Honestly, I think coach Wolfe was running interference for Brandon which made it look like he was hiding him from the press. Brandon loves UK, has friends playing there, but he knows he is an ND guy now.

What makes you say that MirageSmack ? It's not possible that what GG reported is true ?

I'm sure it's true what GG said. I'm saying in the beginning, BN's coach may have been keeping folks away at BN's request, sine he's commited to ND. UK folks interpreted that as intereference. They have a hard time believing they aren't going to get him because things looked so good before ND got involved.

We're both right!!!:pbanana:

Brandon is selected to KY's class of the Commonwealth.

Brandon Newman
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Height, weight: 6-1, 300

Credentials: Newman began the season as the most hyped college prospect in the state because he had committed to Notre Dame. His high profile wasn't lost on opponents. "It's tough when you've got a big target on your chest every week," PRP assistant Jason Stinson said. "Brandon had to overcome some adversity, like being double- and triple-teamed a lot." PRP's killer schedule (including St. Xavier, Trinity, Manual and Indianapolis Cathedral) didn't help. Newman still had an impact. He finished his career with 32 tackles for losses. "The most important thing you can say about Brandon is that he's a better person than football player," Stinson said.

The double- and triple-teaming he had to endure is great exposure and experience for his transition to the college level. I'm excited for this "kid" to suit up for the Irish! I have a feeling that he's going to do well on and off the field!

Lets not forget the recruit our staff hounded and recruited the hardest............Newman.........who is my avatar since the beginning of time? Newman......loyalty people....I go by who the staff covets not the recruiting services. It appears to be showing already because he is dominating everyone in AAA bowl practices.

You guys know Urban's going to be coming for Newman too now that he's dominating on a big stage, right? Look for Urban to offer Brandon's girlfriend a full ride in the Marine Biology department and for Brandon to be told he's recruiting Omar as a running back, not a NT.

...Should be a fun next 5 weeks. Ugh.

You mean like he told Jevan Sneed he was recruiting Tebow for LB?
