Gerard Parker and Co. weren't the only ones who were stumped last week. The entire board whiffed.

Fuck it. Predict away, or don't.

Hope im wrong but just don't see it happening. Too much Williams and the Trojan defense will play good enough to shut down the Irish running game.

42-17 Trojans

I don't think our defense is good enough to keep Williams in check for 4Qs. Hell, they weren't good enough to keep L'Ville in check (not entirely their fault, defense has been outstanding this season and they were gassed with the O's turnovers).

At the end of the day, I know USC's defense is BAD, but so is our O right now. Do we trust our Offense to score 35+ points to win the game? I don't know, given the performance the past few weeks.

I hate typing this. I hate that my spirits are crushed rn. But I don't have much faith in Parker. And honestly, Jack S. can pound sand for concocting this piece of shit schedule. Great idea to start week 0 in Ireland and trot the boys out there for 8 consecutive weeks, straight through mid-terms, and make game 8/8 against USC. Good riddance, man. Should be a fireable offense, if not for him already having one foot out the door.

USC 42, ND 28. And I sincerely hope someone has the chance to absolutely ROAST me next week. I'd welcome it.

I think Notre Dame regroups this week and gets the W.

Offensively, after getting pushed around against Louisville, the offensive line comes out with purpose and something to prove. Notre Dame will be the more physical team. They don't get too cute, and expect a heavy, heavy dose of Estime, Love, and Payne. Mitchell Evans balls out - shocking, I know. I also expect Tyree to take a short slant or hitch and bust one.

Defensively, they are just going to be a pain-in-the ass and do just enough to disrupt Caleb Williams all night. Cross and Mills jam up the middle and Kiser, Bertrand, Marist, and Bothelo step up to the occasion and hamper Williams and MarShawn Lloyd.

The weather certainly plays in ND's favor and benefits the more physical, aggressive team. I think the weather will add that little extra mojo to ND as well.

ND - 28
USC - 24

USC in an ugly game. Close. But our offense woes > their defense woes.

I think USC's defense is much better than the PPG show and I hope I'm dead wrong because this program needs this so badly.

Personally, I’ve taken a step back because why would I want to dwell on the negativity I feel surrounding this team, but I for one wouldn’t roast you for being wrong. There’s no reason to be optimistic after the last performance, but there is a vocal minority that would rather their takes be right than see ND succeed that should rightfully be roasted.

I could never pick against ND even against the 49ers. Doesn’t mean I’m optimistic bc I’m certainly not, but I personally can never go into a game with even a thought that ND won’t win.

USC has scored 40 or more in every game this year. We gave up 30 to Louisville. I think we score late to make less of a blow out but the offense isn’t good enough to help the defense.

38-27 USC

JBB was nowhere to be found last week. Sneed is going to have to be on the field and Harper and Brown need to show up if the Irish stand a chance.

I hope the Irish coaches have coming to Jesus meeting and come out and have learned from their mistakes.

I can’t believe I picked against the Irish but I have no faith in the offense.

Our offense is atrocious and I have no faith in the coordinator for the rest of the year. Sure they may beat usc because of the rivalry. I still see at least two losses the rest of the season

Unfortunately, I just don't have enough faith that our offense is going to be able to get out of its own way. I think our defense can do enough to keep us in the game, but the mistakes by offense sink us in what will most likely be a shootout. USC wins by 7. :( I really, really hope I'm wrong.

Last season, SC’s defense & OL were atrocious going into the game. Despite that, they ran all over the ND defense & completely shut down the ND run game.

This season, SC’s defense & OL are still atrocious going into the game. But ND’s offense has floundered the past two games after scoring only 2 TDs in the OSU game.

SC hasn’t played a team as “talented“ as ND all season and they’ve seemed to sleepwalk against their last 3 opponents. ND has had to get up for OSU & Duke before crashing down to earth last week vs UL. Vegas actually favors ND so that, the national media doubting their defense & this actually being a team SC can get juiced up to play in prime time gives them the emotional advantage which counts substantially in CFB IMO.

If ND just had questions at OL or just in the passing game, I could see them regrouping this week but they have questions in both areas that are just too much to expect they get fixed in time for SC.

I want ND to win this game more than any of their remaining games. It’s their biggest rival who is 6-0 and highly ranked w/ the best player in the nation leading their offense. ND isn’t playing for the CFP anymore so this should be their bowl game.

I’ve watched my Dodgers & my Irish implode this past week despite both having talented rosters. That makes me extremely gunshy going into Saturday. Even when there was not much glimmer of hope, I still had hope for a comeback. I hope I’m wrong & am truly gunshy by the bed shitting, but I don’t like ND’s chances Saturday

IIRC USC has gotten off to slow starts in most of their games. They haven’t played against a D like ND’s which gives me hope we pull this out in a close one.

Everyone one at II and ISD picked USC except Freeman and Loy. And no one had the balls to pick a blow out.

USC by 14-20

I thought about picking USC by more, TBH. I don’t believe Notre Dame can even score against a defense this bad. It’s going to get out of hand by the third quarter.

If I didn’t know the line, I’d think SC by 14. Who knows.
