It makes sense that left-wing folks want to bring terrorists into the neighborhood. We will almost certainly have an attack on our soil because of Biden’s negligence with the same logic. A one state solution ignores reality.
Europeans who are getting hammered with boats of military age men will likely enjoy more violence as well.

I can agree that the Palestinian situation is jacked up. The open air prison thing is true, but they can’t go to Israel and Israel has to protect itself for good reason. Palestinians should be allowed safe harbor to somewhere else in the region.

Apartheid… so you’re on the Palestinian/Hamas side of this?
What? I've never been on the side of Hamas.

I'm on the side of stopping this kind of violence. Taking away the conditions that breeds radical Islamist fundamentalists that commit terrorism is my preferred choice.

To answer your question. Arabs have plenty of land. Jews do not. It matters because they cannot coexist, they never have and never will.
Freedom of movement would be nice if Israel didn't hold them in an open air prison in Gaza.

One state… sounds like it would work out great.
Would work really great if Palestinians were given the same rights as Israeli's nothing more nothing less.
One state as in Israelis and Palestinians together? Care to share any thoughts on how you would make this work?
Yes. For a start, giving Palestinians basic humanitarian rights. This isn't even a controversial take, the UN supports many of the same positions as me. Freedom of movement to leave Gaza isn't even granted to Palestinians. Give the people an option that isn't even a group of islamic radicals.

What is your solution?

Something needs to be done. Most of their infrastructure is dependent on Israel for water and electricity and the population is way out of proportion for the area. If what I read is correct, Israel is cutting off everything so the siege which was partially in place already will have an immediate impact.

I agree with the freedom of movement. That’s something that should be a fundamental right. They would need a place willing to take them, in the region. People wouldn’t want terrorists going in and out, but it is a fair concept.

I don’t think giving them things and space solves the problem.

Also- our administration is clearly failing, lying, or likely both.

I don't have a solution because I don't think there is an easy one. Basic human rights for Palestinians? Couldn't agree more. Even if those are provided, I don't think it fixes the problem. This is as much a religious issue as anything and we've seen that none of the religious fanatics are willing to give an inch.

Maybe Israel takes back Gaza and gives Palestinians the same amount of land next to Jordan or Lebanon? Then they could travel more freely. What we need is Henry Kissinger to fix this.

Are you sure? This reads like Israel is the bad guy oppressing people, and Palestinians are the victims. It's a two way street, and it's often Palestine/Hamas causing the wrecks.

Basic human rights are given to even start the discussion. The UN/Amnesty International/B'Tselem/FIDH/HRW and Israeli PM's Rabin and Olmert, an Israeli AG Ben-Yair, and the former director of the Mossad Tamir Pardo have all called it an Apartheid. Israel needs to take it a step further than just basic human rights. It's really not a religious issue if you have uniformity amongst all parties involved that what's happening is similar to the South African apartheid.

Positive. I've never supported Hamas.

Israel is bad and they do oppress people.

lmao @ often Palestine/Hamas. Tell me which number is bigger.

So land or no land… either way a good Jew is a dead Jew to Arabs and Palestinians.

The entire region is filled with their Arab brothers who care so much about them. They have plenty of land. How about they let them live in one or more of their countries?

Oh wait they do. The refugee camps where they are the only people on earth who are forced to be labeled refugees at birth.

Why is Egypts barrier to the Gaza strip even more secure than Israelis?

I thought Arabs and Muslims cared about their fellow Arabs and Muslims.

It has always been a religious issue in the ME.

Care to provide why you choose to say this and not address the other points I brought up? What is the religious issue that you see that relates to why Israel is an apartheid?

Amazing that Biden didn’t use this opportunity to reprimand him on apartheid while Israel reels from the heinous acts committed by the terrorists who crossed the border.

Didn't know I was supposed to, but sure. It's Apartheid, but at the core this is religious. Always has been and always will be. South Africa has been about race.

The Apartheid Convention declares that apartheid is a crime against humanity and that “inhuman acts resulting from the policies and practices of apartheid and similar policies and practices of racial segregation and discrimination” are international crimes (art. 1).

Withholding basic human rights comes before any religious issues. IMO basic human needs rise above religious differences, doesn't matter the religion.

Agree 100%, but regardless of what might take precedent over religion, it doesn't change the fact this has its roots in religion. The entire ME is a conflict over religion.

The Israeli military is one of the most advanced in the world. Hamas fires crude rockets and kills several Israeli. Israelis retaliate and wipe out 10x the number of Hamas. It's civilized people against barbarians. They're bringing guns to fight tanks. They use suicide bombers in civilian locations, and they use innocent Palestinians as shields. The point is in recent years Hamas is typically the one firing the first shots.

I’m still very curious how Israel has as robust intelligence and security apparatus as any in the world and was completely caught off guard by this. I really hope I’m wrong but none of this sits well with me and I’m very concerned about the implications.

It would've been bad enough if they said "I stand with Palestine". But to use the image of a paraglider. Tells you all you need to know about this organization.

Reminds me of this. Someone should tell them. Gaza still observes up to a 10 year punishment in prison for same sex acts.

They are and as you said will use civilians as shields because they don't give a F about even their own citizens.
