I also want Marist to be great. The athleticism is undeniable.

Yeah, Marist made some crucial mistakes (2-3), but for 50+ other played he did wellJamie at ISD said he counted 3 tackles for Marist in just the first half and didn't bother looking for more in the second half tape because the 3 he saw in the first half proved how egregiously wrong the person tracking stats for the box score was.
I didn’t know that. After the game, I remembered his big whiff on OSU’s first drive & then don’t recall seeing him much other than that weird Stover catch. So I went to ESPN to look at the box score and was surprised to see zero stats. Thanks for clarifying b/c I think we will need him tomorrow & he has had a good track record when playing in the state of NC.Jamie at ISD said he counted 3 tackles for Marist in just the first half and didn't bother looking for more in the second half tape because the 3 he saw in the first half proved how egregiously wrong the person tracking stats for the box score was.
Get him out there then.Ausberry would be my pick. Kid shows up with instincts and being around the ball constantly.
CBs often don’t turn up in the stats as well but could still have had a big influence. The only thing incorrect about my statement was that Marist played 61 snaps. Similar to myself, he did not show up in the box score as playing defense. I’m not aware of a block absorbing statistic. He did look better the first 3 games, but that was against lesser competition.
When did this user name get hijacked by Mr positivity?Marist didn’t have his best game, but he wasn’t bad
Our front 6 is not good at sacks but they are explosively powerful at maintaining leverage and lanes allowing our front 6 to control the Los and run game
The truth hurts… we’re worried about Marist who is playing solid vs a safety position responsible for pretty much all the points we gave up vs ohio stateWhen did this user name get hijacked by Mr positivity?
I’d say everyone agrees with you.The truth hurts… we’re worried about Marist who is playing solid vs a safety position responsible for pretty much all the points we gave up vs ohio state
Apparently he was dealing with an injury in the week leading up to the OSU game…….that might at least partly explain his lack of tackles during that game. Looked much better against Duke and hopefully takes another step forward this Saturday. He was better vs Duke than OSU. He is also one of the leaders on defense in snaps played yet nowhere near the top in PFF tackling grades. Jack Kiser is far more productive per PFF when it comes to tackling and he doesn’t play near as much as Marist (due to all the nickel formations I suspect). Don’t get me wrong, Marist is good but he still misses a ton of tackles. He’s got to get better.
Kiser is 3rd on the team w/ tackles & Marist is 7th. Kiser has one TFL (sack), 2 QB Hurries & forced fumble. I think he only had 10 snaps vs Duke.
Some fans want Sneed in more b/c of his athleticism but he’s still raw and struggles in tackling as well but doesn’t command the playbook like Marist. Kiser is less athletic than both of them but commands the playbook. Something needs to give if Marist can’t clean up the missed tackles.
Marist came out with his hair on fire vs Duke. He played like the cheetah and disruptive playmaker, I’d heard about but only saw flashes. He put it together for 60 minutes. Go Marist.
It looks like he tries to tackle ball carriers too high. He’s not big enough to overpower ball carriers so they slip away from his grasp. He did have a few bad missed tackles, so let’s not praise him entirely
Word is that he was dealing with an injury leading up to the OSU game so I’m sure that is partly to blame. How on earth did he not have a single tackle against ohio state
I am not one of those. Some fans want Sneed in more b/c of his athleticism...

You need to clarify. Liafau and Bertrand are getting most of the snaps. Do they "have it all together from head to toe"?I am not one of those.
The coaches not knowing what they're doing or just being big meanies isn't why Sneed doesn't play more. He ain't ready. Plain and simple. All his high school recruit accolades mean zero to me.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I want the dudes who are ready to play and have it all together from head to toe.
I have a feeling all 3 LBs are back next year. I think Kiser passes on the 1st round option.Do you guys think Marist comes back next year? Would you guys bring him back?
Are they all three 5Ys with a sixth year of eligibility? That is a LOT of college football. I would think one or more of them may simply be done. Or ready to try their hand at the NFL even if they're not that high a draft pick. Which would be fine.I have a feeling all 3 LBs are back next year. I think Kiser passes on the 1st round option.
I don't think any of them get drafted, maybe Marist. I just have a feeling they'll be back. I'd be happy to have Marist back, he still has potential IMO.Are they all three 5Ys with a sixth year of eligibility? That is a LOT of college football. That said I wouldn't mind having one of them back next year just for experience sake. (ideally not Bertrand)
