Piece of sh*t he isI can’t get over that Ryan Day interview. Lou Holtz is 86 years old! Think about the elderly 85+ loved ones in your life and imagine using anything they say as the basis for a rant on national TV.
I live in Columbus and he is not loved. 1-2 vs UM. Etc. The whole "Ohio against the world" victim culture is strong I guess and appeals to their fans.I can’t get over that Ryan Day interview. I don't think what he said in the PC is at all significant. All that comes down to is a man taking responsibility for his team. He wasn't about to throw anyone under the bus in public. I will guarantee you that a mistake like that is never made again on a Freeman-coached football team. That was a painful lesson learned, but a lesson learned nonetheless.Agree with most of what you said but your last paragraph is bullshit. Freeman defended his end of game strategy in his post game presser. If he’s in denial about his failures he ain’t fixing what’s wrong.
He’s definitely a POS but I also think it’s hilarious.Piece of sh*t he is
He is a first class jackass. I had always thought of him more as a bumbling doofus type—but I guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention.I can’t get over that Ryan Day interview. Also, you have to practice fourth and short…I don't think what he said in the PC is at all significant. All that comes down to is a man taking responsibility for his team. If we win out and they win the Big Ten we could well see them in the playoffs. And all we'd have to do is not beat ourselves again. He is a first class jackass. I had always thought of him more as a bumbling doofus type. God damn, I hope the stars align somehow to see that you team again this season.
Much better chance osu improves more than nd does throughout the season… we played them at the right time and completely blew itIf we win out and they win the Big Ten we could well see them in the playoffs. And all we'd have to do is not beat ourselves again.
Hate to say it, but they're not letting an 11-1 ND in.If we win out and they win the Big Ten we could well see them in the playoffs. And all we'd have to do is not beat ourselves again.
Isn't Ryan Day from New Hampshire? He should know the rest of the world doesn't even really think about Ohio.I live in Columbus and he is not loved. 1-2 vs UM. Etc. The whole "Ohio against the world" victim culture is strong I guess and appeals to their fans.
That's unlikely, I think. It's more likely that UM and OSU both go 10-0 going into their game, and the loser still gets in, like last year.If we win out and they win the Big Ten we could well see them in the playoffs. And all we'd have to do is not beat ourselves again.
Most years I’d agree, our schedule is too good and tough this year, 11-1 with that loss and we’re in vs other 1 loss teamsHate to say it, but they're not letting an 11-1 ND in.
You made me literally LOL. Thanks I needed this morning! He’s definitely a POS but I also think it’s hilarious.
Freeman should do the same next big win he has. “JOHN COOPER… WHERE YOU AT YOU OLD BAG OF BONES???!!!”
Both 4th down calls hurt. Hartman got lucky on the first one but had no idea where the first down marker was. MF made the right call to go for it and you have to back him up and fight for that first down.360 yards of offense on 7 real drives is actually quite good. The lack of points was an issue with execution and coaching. ND did not have a problem running the ball, as shown in the second half, and in retrospect they came out too pass happy.
If Michigan loses to Ohio State they'll have beaten who, exactly? We'd have wins over USC and Clemson and should have beaten Ohio State. Much stronger resume. That's unlikely, I think. It's more likely that UM and OSU both go 10-0 going into their game, and the loser still gets in, like last year.
Fair enough. I guess the bigger concern would be other teams, e.g., Texas, taking that fourth spot.If Michigan loses to Ohio State they'll have beaten who, exactly? We'd have wins over USC and Clemson and should have beaten Ohio State. Much stronger resume.
Yep, take a damn timeout there if everBoth 4th down calls hurt. Hartman got lucky on the first one but had no idea where the first down marker was. MF made the right call to go for it and you have to back him up and fight for that first down.
That second 4th down call…ugh.
Freeman and team need to apologize to Lou… everything Lou said about osu was accurate, and nd was dominating the lines to end the game then the staff on O and D went full moron and handed the game to osu.
Osu was physically soft but mentally tough enough to win, our staff and some players aren’t ready, they need to be identified and moved on from. We all know who they are
Real talk.Worst loss of my 27 year life, considering I was too young to appreciate the bush push game.
That was the being said, it’s hard to not see the progress - ND outplayed an elite program for the first time since when? OSU should have won the NC last year if they convert a 4th down vs UGA in the semifinal.
Season isn’t over, win out and we’ll still make the playoff.
And to know they could have cashed out on those tickets and saved that walk of shame.Walking out of the stadium last night was like walking out of a funeral. Biggest gut punch ever, felt every bit if not worse than BC in 93 or SC in 05. I honest to God felt bad for every fan there, as we showed up and showed out. I know nobody wants to hear this, but OSU fans that I encountered before and after the game...were all pretty great. What a bummer, but in the grand scheme of life....it's whatever.
They absolutely would let an 11-1 ND in.Hate to say it, but they're not letting an 11-1 ND in.
Yep. Texas and FSU are more likely to box us out than a Michigan that loses to Ohio State.Fair enough. I guess the bigger concern would be other teams, e.g., Texas, taking that fourth spot.
