I am on to accepting Golden and Freeman havent spent enough time with them coaching fundamentals. When ELko was DC here every update including how much time they were spending on tackling and getting take aways.
Then WTH happened in Miami in 2017?!?

Rocco Spindler was truly awful tonight. Maybe I’d have a different opinion on a re-watch but I think that’s doubtful.

Does know one here remember how many points per game BVG gave up? Lol

Golden f'ed up tonight and I'm pissed and I borderline want him fired tonight. BVG was literally not good enough to coach HS football and the only reason he has a job was because of Kelly's incest

Lighten up Francis. I was speaking specifically to the final drive. IF you didn’t have flashbacks to the Stanford game from 2015 then you short term memory loss.

Javontae Jean-Baptiste (former Buckeye) was the missing DL on the last 2 plays? Last player off the field after the game was Javontae Jean-Baptiste ( hugging his former coaches). Coaches should have noticed, but odd he didn't go out the last 2 plays in a row.

If you are suggesting he did it on purpose to help OSU, that doesn't jive with him being far and away the best d-lineman the prior 59:53.

Sucks. Sucks bad. Really fucking sucks.

I needed a minute after the game. Dog was surprised, but happy, by the midnight walk.

I really don’t feel any better. Better than screaming FUCK at the TV I suppose

Just think about how much time this entire coaching staff had to figure out they had 10 on the field for the first play and couldn’t correct it for the second.

I thought the Oline was tremendous. The effort was tremendous. The crowd was tremendous. Hartman same.
We should win most of our games (bar USC) from here via the run but I fear backing up against Duke.
No way was Hartman tremendous. He got 4 more points than Buchner and Rees on the road with horrible line play. Hartman was almost untouched and that was the best Hartman could do. Pyne might have been able to do what he did. He didn’t use his legs to do one thing for us tonight. Actually the opposite with his 4th and one bad efforts.

There are no moral victories, but this program has significantly changed for the better under Freeman, and this game proves it. ND believed they were OSUs equal, and then went out and prove it with no hesitation. This program has the right stuff, all it needs is time, and a bit of luck. There is no part of me that doubts Freeman after tonight, but I frequently doubted Kelly after big game losses. It’s small consolation tonight, but this was never going to be a quick fix.

Just got back to the hotel.

"War daddy" sucks as bad as that name does. He scored almost the same number of points as we did in Columbus, except we traded Buchner for Hartman and upgraded some receivers. Over 2 1/2 quarters before we were on the board, unacceptable. We should have been feeding Estime more 2nd half when the runs were there, punish them physically.

Hats off to the defense. The ending hurt, it DID feel like the Bush Push all over again. D played their hearts out, they did exceptional other than one busted run. Only 10 points on the board until the final second. That was an impressive achievement against that offense.

God damnit.

It was really really heart crushing.

We looked like the bully out there. We absolutely looked like the stronger better team for almost all of that fucking Game.

GOD Damnit.

Hartman had a couple of horrible plays: bouncing around on a 4th and 1 when he should have just planted and pushed forward and he short armed the screen where he could have floated it to the RB and had a TD

I like Hartman but he seemed a bit overwhelmed at times in his first huge game of his career

The coordinators seemed to shit the bed in the 4th quarter; that's not a great sign but can be corrected

10 men on the final two plays? Someone needs to be fired, that is asinine especially coming out of a TO

I didn't watch the presser, but Freeman needs to own the loss

Running the ball more on the last possession wins us the game

Our team is really good but seems to lack that second gear to become great when it matters

Loved Evans making huge catches; that one-hander was epic

RBs ran well all night, but Estime tip-toeing around at times was frustrating

Rico Flores is going to have a bright future with this team

Our safety play is not great but I am a DJ Brown fan; he has developed into a solid player in the secondary for us

Our pass rush was lacking, and some of the called blitzes were horrible but that is what you have to do when your DL cannot win one on one

I am very frustrated with this loss as we should have won by a TD, but we have a good season ahead of us. I am not scared of anyone on our schedule but we need to avoid a letdown loss next week.

More consistent WR, Safety, LB, and DL recruiting and we are a perennial contender. Just need to avoid those years where we have huge positional gaps that existed the last few years with Kelly. If Freeman gets more consistent recruiting all positions, we are a very formidable team.
