Just run the ball under 4 mins is all you had to do. And we were doing it well. It cost us at least 60 seconds
Parker’s fault since he calls the plays. But, MF is not without criticism.Well this is Freeman’s fault for saying no run the ball.
Sad that we lost because of below average coaching.

Wouldn’t have mattered because we would have been up 3 scores.Have to wonder WWALD on that last offensive drive...
That's Andy Ludwig for those keeping score at home.
Almost 3 quarters before we were on the board, basically the same score from Columbus last year but with Hartman instead of Buchner at QB and better receivers. Parker blew it. Run the ball after that last 1st down, and OSU has no timeouts and can't avoid the 10 second runoff from the intentional grounding. Instead we keep throwing and stop the clock for them.
Honestly I don’t mind the screen call once you’re behind the sticks. It was there and would have sealed the game if Hartman throws the ball 1 inch higher or 1 second earlier. The DE just made a great play. People bitch about MF not playing to win on the final defensive series. Well that screen play was a play to win.His overall game plan wasn’t bad. But the last 4 mins of the 4th were stupid.
No need to take a chance with a pick. We were running the ball at will.
Agree completely… some slow handoff read option when they’re selling out to stop run was moronic. I get it was working earlier but osu had to all out stop runHonestly I don’t mind the screen call once you’re behind the sticks. The real issue was first down. Whatever the fuck that was supposed to be killed us.

2 plays earlier we ran for 11 on first down … yeah screen pass could have worked but it should have never been needed if Parker didn’t get cute. The issue isn’t the screen pass, it’s the call before thatThere's no way OSU lets us run the clock out there.
The screen was perfect call that goes for 6 if Hartman can just execute.
14 points at home man with heisman candidate 6th yr qb … points matterAnyone who’s hating on Parker can go fly a kite the dude had a good game calling plays minus the last drive. With Rees and Kelly you woulda gotten rush rush rush right up the middle and punt all night

14 points and Hartman didn’t excecute on 2 4th and 1’s that’s not Parker’s Fault. Also 14 points against 3 NFL 1st rounders on the DL and another corner projected early second round is pretty good. We moved the ball really well14 points at home man with heisman candidate 6th yr qb … points matter
The point is run plays would have forced them to call their timeouts and run some more clock. The timeout that we didn't make them take was critical to preventing the 10 second runoff on the final series. There's no way OSU lets us run the clock out there.

Yep. I'm not there yet, mentally, to watch it again but that play was the killer. Not sure what was going on but it seemed like Hartman ate it rather than risk a fumble. Then their all-world DE made an incredibly athletic play on the screen pass, but it was a fine call.Agree completely… some slow handoff read option when they’re selling out to stop run was moronic. Yes, early on (Navy?) he did. I wonder if he couldn’t last night due to Evans coming out of concussion protocol? That’s the only thing I could think of.Has Gerad actually attempted a Mitchapaloooza as OC? I don’t think he has.
