Its all a great dumpster fire!! Courtesy of BK's unnecessary loyalty and stupidity on evaluation of Tommy for real, ND's BOT and the AD office and Saban's stupidity (for once). I am loving it!!
What a shock, but hey, blind Squirrel.

They will, but losses will still be had. Can’t adjust in season that qb room, we know what it feels like.
Yea I think 3 loss season which will be like an earthquake in Tuscaloosa. Also if that happens how many 5 stars jump into Portal.

Not trying to pile on Tommy but it actually gives me a sense of optimism knowing that he’s an average (at best) OC. Means there is plenty of room for ND to improve. We won a bunch of games with him controlling the offense so logic would dictate we will win more with an above average OC in charge. Time will tell if Parker is that.

Last year's OC would have poured points on all of these teams. I think they scored like 50 on Texas last year (or maybe it was 19 with Bryce Young and Jamir Gibbs, can't remember).

Its an EXCUSE to think Alabama is struggling with unexpectedly bad QB recruiting. The difference between this year's team and last years is Tommy Rees, PERIOD. While it also hurts to lose the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft, and replace him with unproven, inexperienced talent, I don't think Bryce Young would magically solve their QB problem. It's bigger than losing one All-American--QB is only one position.

EVERYONE, I MEAN EVERYONE, COULD SEE THAT TOMMY IS NOT GOOD (except the most successful college coach of all time).

Saban started Buchner and put in Simpson to light a fire under Milroe and to challenge him. Milroe starts the rest of the way and excels and Bishop comes off the ledge.

Sorry…. a lot of fans on the Board thought he was great.

Post game quotes from saban seemed like milroe has some behavioral things to clean up if he wants to play again.

It's early. Bama knew they had a QB room problem in the Spring, one that probably wasn't going to be fixed by Fall camp. They'll either get it figured out during the season, or they'll likely land a big transfer at the end. I don't see how their current QBs can get much worse. Somehow ESPN still has them favored in their remaining games, although the Ole Miss, A&M, and LSU games are closer than the rest.

Well, he was hired to be the OC at Alabama. As far as I know, Nick Saban has a pretty good eye for coaching talent.
He does. There were several good ones who he tried to get before settling on Rees. Washington has looked really good on offense so far this year.

Yes, but there are many times he hasn't gotten his first choice.

I wonder if he settled on him because of his experience with mediocre QBs?

Not sure but Rees is definitely his least experienced hire for that position other than his first year with Major Applewhite.

Guess it is kind of reassuring that it isnt only ND that cant seem to develop QBs. Seems every year or every other year we got a cant miss only to miss nearly every time. The fact that Bama has a ton of high star talent in the QB position goes to show that it isnt just all about the stars (ND recruited consistent 4 star QBs and still the flopped. Never could understand how teams with lesser rating QBs performed better nearly consistently. Now Bama has NDs problem. Hopefully NDs OC can develop the backups so ND isnt a one year wonder at the QB position.

I don't think he has a job at Alabama this season they might not even make a New Year's six bowl their offense is that bad.

Who are you going to believe, Drunk or Saban? C’mon man!
He the results or shitty results at Bama speaks for itself. The lethargic, obtuse offense he had at ND is now at Alabama thankfully. Has he used a Screen play yet??? Lol!!!

I don’t think there has been enough discussion on Bama’s run at OC and the experience those guys had. Sark, Kiffen, McElwain, Brian Daboll, Bill O’Brien is insane coaching talent to get at OC.

That’s not even including Locksley who had HC experience and 20+ years of coaching.

Worst case for Tommy is Major Applewhite. He did one year with Saban in 2007 and it wasn't a very good working relationship on either front.
