I think we beat OSU and USC, but drop a close one at Clemson unless Klubnik starts having nightmares about BenMo.
I'm so damn stoked to see BenMo and a healthy Cam Hart locking down both sides of the field. If we get solid Nickel play, RIP, passing offenses.

The perfect antidote to Caleb Williams and the OSU receivers. If we can compliment those two with a solid pass rush, this defense is going to be special.

Does anyone else watch Greathouse and see a physical mix between Floyd and Golden Tate? He has the physical size and strength, but also that small space suddenness of Tate, and "FU" mentality.

Alpha. Maybe Flores is too. Makes up for a couple Betas above them.

Just to be clear, I don’t think it’s an automatic loss, in fact, I like our chances in every single game this season. I said, “most worried” not we’ll certainly lose.

And, USC is not the best team but it has the best player. In fact, it has arguably the best player in college football. A guy so good (equally as douchey) that teams are already planning to tank for him. That’s dangerous for any opposing team. There is nothing about OSU and Clemson that scare me other than their traditional pedigrees.
I'm actually glad we are playing clemson later in the season vs early due to having no clue what Riley is going to do to clemsons offense. With that said, they have good wrs and a good rb, and an good oline, but nothing to completely scare you. They don't have the dynamic playmakers they've had in the past. Teams are going to say that about our WRs, but we have a proven QB that can turn good WRs into great ones. We also potentially have one of the best olines and running games in the country.

If WRs are improved and our Dline is improved, we could be really really good. Getting through our schedule at 12-0 or even 11-1 is a battle tested team ready to not play but actually beat any of the other 3 teams in the CFP.

Day is OC, don't fool yourself
But it could be a sloppy mess of OC with the power dynamic.

To some extent that's true. But Kevin Wilson is a damn good coach (despite the things that came out after he resigned from IU) and a lot of the passing concepts OSU utilizes comes from him (Day was never considered any kind of passing guru until he started working with Wilson the same time they both arrived in Columbus).

KW is a big loss for OSU.

The “Rees was A Genius” crowd no doubt.
Your lord and savior Brian Kelly literally gave him his first college coaching gig and gave him his big break as OC, and then tried to pry him away when he went south to consume gumbo with his "fahmahlee"

So, is your bf Kelly a moron for believing in Rees? Is Nick Saban an idiot for hiring him?

What do you know about Rees that Kelly and Saban don't? Enlighten us.

He finally had full control of the offense and it was with mostly his players he was involved with recruiting in 2022. That was the worst ND offense statistically I think since 2007.

Rees shows potential, but he always takes a position he isn't ready for or leaves one before he's actually accomplished anything. Good for him, he's chased and earned a lot of money at a young age. But his resume only looks good with titles, not accomplishments while having those titles.

Come talk to me about how Kelly sucks after we win 10 regular season games.

You didn’t answer his question lol. How do you explain your love for BK with your contradictory disdain for Tommy?

For the record, I think Tommy is a VERY smart football mind, and an above-average offensive coordinator. However, like most great coaches (BK included), he had some glaringly obvious deficiencies as a play caller. So obvious, that refusing to change certain things or utilize certain concepts on a consistent basis were likely a result of stubbornness, rather than a shortfall in the knowledge department (again, much like BK… in fact, maybe now I see why BK loved Tommy 😂)

No Saban had a bet for $1 with Smart, that he could win a Natty with the worst OC in the country. He then flew up to South Bend.....

In this instance, I think BK and Saban are flat wrong about Tommy. His offense last year was muy malo. I think Savvy Jack making his first concern of keeping Rees as opposed to having a legit hiring process for the HC and let the HC make the hires was a typical silly ND move.

Yes happy Rees is gone but of course ND screwed up the search for his replacement.

I'll be sure to alert your BF BK and the greatest coach of our generation that you disagree with their evaluations of the most important member of their coaching staffs.

I like what Rees could be as a coach not what he is or has been at nd … I too think he has potential

I think Greathouse ends up leading us in receiving yards this year.
That would be something. He looked great at the Spring Game and it sounds like he's having a strong camp. I've got my money on Jayden Thomas, though.

I think last year was a major confidence boost for him.
