Sevilla has won Europa League 7 times in the last 17 years.

Makes it just like the other competitions, really.

I'm curious why Bayern even want Kane lol. Doesn't really fit how they normally do things?
nah not really but they are struggling to maintain relevancy tbh. they need a splash like this. Buying the best players from Dortmund isnt a needle mover anymore and they cant compete with Saudi or EPL in the long run

What point are you trying to make? That City hiring a guy from Wolves means clubs are scared of the Saudi league?
I think I've stated the point rather clearly.

Regarding the bolded sentence, I Never said this and not entirely sure how it could possibly be inferred based on what I've been posting regarding said subject.

I stated this in a post earlier. The "bigger" clubs may look to invest in scouting further, and not because they're "scared", but because they're smart. Newcastle hiring people from Brighton is a great example. It was one of the first things they did when the ownership changed. Look at their arrivals this summer and last.

So you find the guys early on, for less money, and you can either give them contract extensions or sell them for tremendous profit to the Saudi league if they happen to come calling. You can no doubt continue with business as usual and let the "selling" clubs find the guys, deal with work permits, develop them and then pay through the nose later. I think, however, in some cases you're going to see more of these moves from the smarter clubs that know what they're doing.

Um, what now?

Chelsea is reportedly closing moves for Caicedo, Romeo Lavia from Southampton and Olise. I'd assume they'd have to be selling off players in order for this to work, but who the hell knows at this point.

They completely screwed Tyler Adams.

City has been doing this for years with heavy investment in their academies for the past decade.

Okay, City has been scouting very extensively for several years now, don't think anythings shifted there (CFG shows City is scouring every corner of the world). If this is new to your club, could just be behind.

Looks like they're still doing it. Good stuff.

Scooping up good scouts from other clubs makes an incredible amount of sense.

I mean, I'm not taking shots at City or anything. I think it's a pretty good move taking a guy from Wolves that found a couple of good young talents at Arsenal.

I am a Spurs supporter so I will try to not allow my grief take over this rant.

Him leaving for Munich makes absolutely zero sense to me. He will be uprooting his family to a different country, leaving the all time goal scoring record potentially out of reach, with his contract running down in 9 months… For Bayern.

So what do they offer. Obviously silverware, no doubt. But who cares about their domestic league success. Bayern have won the Bundesliga 19 of the last 25 titles including the last 11. They win the Pokal at a 50 percent clip over the same period of time (I could’ve counted titles incorrectly so give us a little +/- there). So a domestic league trophy, meh. Similar to PSG for me.

Maybe he thinks he can win the CL title with them. The current side lacks a top GK, a #6, and other dynamic playmakers. They have reinforced areas a bit but I just don’t see it right now (could be my blinders).

For me, the play should’ve been see the Spurs contract out, bag 25/30 goals, sign a massive sign on bonus with a domestic side, get the record, get some trophies, and solidly your legacy as one of the greatest English players ever.

Hey, maybe Big Ange inspires silverware and you decide to become a one senior club legend. Or maybe you return to England sooner than the four year contract to grab the record. He’s 47 short but assume he runs his Munich contract down, mid 30s to chase 48 goals.. idk.

I am still excited for this season. Ange’s tempo will have us playing sexy football again. 7th position would be good for us this campaign.

This is a Total Failure for never backing the squad by ENIC. Failure by Levy for going windows without bolstering the squad or bargain shopping for players, and the aforementioned reasons for Kane plus three days before Brentford.

Haaland goal in four minutes, DeBruyne injured after 20, Burnley supporters at Turf Moor throwing things at City players, Chelsea owned by an arrogant prick.

Like we never left.

Whoever found the Norwegian kid from Dortmund should get a raise. I think the kid might have a future in the sport.

Newcastle made it look really easy. They looked outstanding.

Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig is a neat player.

Chelsea are about to spend another $170M on two defensive midfielders because, why not?

We're now creeping into $900M spent in the last three windows. Normal behavior that's completely within the rules, I assume.

I think they're at a net - $400M since their takeover. Chelsea has more than doubled that in a year.

Boehly and Clearlake Capital have connections to Saudi Arabia. This is going to be the way.

It appears that Luciano Spalletti will take his place, leaving an opening at Napoli.

Conte still remains unattached.

Spalletti left immediately after the season concluded, due to his constant disagreements with DeLaurentis. Napoli already hired Rudi Garcia.

that's right. Napoli do have a clause, though, where the FIGC could have to play out money for him.

I thought Wolves gave United a lot of trouble throughout. Obviously, I was sitting there waiting for some stupid shithouse goal from United because it was inevitably coming. And it did.

And for a keeper to be allowed to absolutely nuke someone like that was questionable enough that it has already been announced that the crew working that game will not be working Week 2.

Wolves were unlucky.
