Listened to one of Vivek’s town halls. He believes if Trump wins the nomination, the Dems will stick w/ “puppet Biden”. If someone (he obviously thinks it’ll be him) else gets the nominations, he believes Biden will not be the nominee and it’ll be a free-for-all for the Dem nomination.
He is very wrong.

No. Every president didn’t do what 45 did. In fact, while some of them have been bad, exactly none compare.
You didn’t read my post then. If you had, you’d not conveniently overlooked my statement: “To be fair, Trump easily takes the cake as the most bombastic & egregious.”

If Trump is the nominee, it's going to be an absolute bloodbath. Choose wisely in the upcoming primary, my fellow Republicans.

It doesn't matter. We're screwed no matter who wins the election.

First debate is tomorrow. Might move the needle.

In Biden's case - not debating Kennedy makes sense. In Trump's, I think allowing consolidation of the opposition is potentially dangerous. The more fractured the better for him. 100% of the Tucker interview watchers are already either Team Trump or Team TDS. Maybe we end up with a spirited debate with a couple of clear leaders of opposing establishment and anti-establishment factions. I suspect there are a lot of anti-establishment voters who would LOVE an alternative to Trump they can feel good about 1) just in case he is disqualified or 2) quietly support and vote for while still pounding the Trump drum for dramatic effect.

Tucker probably has a better shot at getting a few flesh wounds than the debate field. He could easily ask some fair questions that Trump takes as an attack with Trump attacking back like a douche. Trump's ego may require it as he forces his disciples who generally love Tucker to pick a side.

Is Tucker going to be antagonistic? I assumed it was just going to be a puffball interview with him lobbing softballs the whole time?

I know you imagine every person either hates Trump more than Satan himself or slobbers on him like a puppy.

It's a controlled environment for a reason. If Trump wanted a debate he'd be on the stage tonight. Not really a comment on Tucker's feelings towards Trump one way or the other, I'm just doubtful that this interview would be set without Trump's team having control over the questions.

Christie would have, and probably still, will be harder on Trump tonight than any interviewer would be, unless the interviewer misleads Trump beforehand.

Christie deeply believes that Trump almost killed him with COVID. Christie is going to be "fuck Trump, fuck Trump, and fuck Trump some more"

I'd be stunned if Vivek doesn't do Trump's bidding tonight and pretty much only focuses on DeSantis.

What’s Vivek’s angle? Is he aiming to be Trump’s VP? Or keeping Trump’s base happy in case he’s ruled ineligible/forced to withdraw?

My guess, and it's just a guess, is that he was recruited by Trump and/or his team to enter the race and split the non-Trump vote. In return, they're offering him a cabinet position or some cushy gig. There was an article that came out saying that he's running to sabotage DeSantis.

I’m just hoping he goes full Kendall Roy up there tonight and starts rapping.

This is the easiest way to make sure a single strong candidate doesn't emerge as a threat.

My wife knows absolutely nothing about politics. She walked in the room while Desantis talking and she said “Well he’s not going to win.” I asked her why and she said “Because he looks like a joke.” lol

I stand corrected.
