EJ put out a list of around 10 recruits he thought were going to be in Michigan’s class two weeks ago. Said there were 5 silents coming off their big weekend.
Only 2 have committed to Michigan and EJ now isn’t confident any many others. Now the CB Nichols kid he said was a silent is about to commit to Kentucky.
Their class is at 24, & they were literally going to take close to 30, but all their targets are going elsewhere. So they might cap out soon points wise.
As long as they don’t get Justin Scott I don’t really care how they finish.

National Geographic should be treated like the Post Office or Amtrak. Financial intervention should be staged to keep it going. It is emblematic of the best institutionalism has to offer in our society. Unfortunately, it has joined the increasing fall of legacy media. In addition, screentime has aggressively rendered print as unnecessary. Plus the populace has short attention span syndrome that has lead to the consumption of data in sensationalized spurts.
Where else will young boys get to see their first boobies?

I listened to it and rather enjoyed it. He gives his honest opinion, which IMO lies between the sunshine pumpers and the negative Nancy's. To each his own I guess.
That’s just it. He’s the negative Nancy yet thinks he‘s different b/c his occupation is covering ND. Other than Driskel, he gets more emotional (always in a negative way) than any other ND talking head. If I want to hear his crying, I can just go onto any random ND message board. I feel the same way about the sunshine pumpers which is why I ignore them as well.

Mike Frank has snuffed out these flaky recruits well ahead of anyone else. Sick of Loy spoon feeding bullshit to the fanbase every cycle so he can maximize every click possible.
At this point they are all a waste of money. It's so obvious that after what happened in the 23 cycle with recruitments of Monroe Feeling, DM, Jackson Arnold, etc etc that MF limits what information gets out to the beat. They aren't getting shit anymore compared to last year and the Kelly era

Loy is a salesman. He is always trying to drum up interest to get more clicks/subscriptions to 24/7. Guess what? He’s wrong. A lot.

Mike Frank is the opposite of Tom Loy. He doesn't think ND will get anyone so his opinion really doesn't count either.

Shaun Davis and Malik Zaire saying a lot of shit today on their podcast that’s going to get Driskell & IB in trouble.

Even Driskell is upset by it.

I won’t listen to Davis & Zaire Murder the English language, mumble, bash ND, & just make shit up, so I didn’t hear their dump podcast, but people posted it on IB & Driskell was quick to say none of it was true & lock it until he can go see the show himself.

Davis & Zaire saying ND didn’t know Scott or recruit him until their Lucky Lefty podcast & IB informed ND…LOL

Does Driskell actually like Malik?
That's a weird horse to back lol
He loves Malik. It’s weird.

Driskell, to this day, says Malik was better than Kizer & ND wins the tithe in 2015 if Zaire doesn’t get hurt.
And says that when he came back he was better still, despite him sucking at Florida.
Driskell latches on to things & will not let them go.

My guess then is he simply likes Malik, because Kelly didn't like Malik.

And if you call him out on it, even politely, he gets all up in his feelings.

He is knowledgeable hands down. But he really is a whiny ass bitch.

He is knowledgeable but he also doesn't have a realistic view of the ND Program. He is a homer which I guess I understand but nothing in Justin Scott's recruitment in the last 2 months spoke to him coming to ND yet they talked somewhat positively about it. Like ND was on him.

No this is a disaster and its been a disaster for a while. Freeman owns this loss just as much as Washington and Golden but Washington will take it on the chin. You don't lose a St. Ignatius recruit to anyone if you are ND. Freeman will blame the staff. Driskell will blame the staff.

Could you imagine's Driskell's response if Kelly didn't land this recruit?

Yes, the vaunted St. I/ND pipeline that sends All Americans to ND every other year…

Cmon this isn’t reality no matter how you feel about overall recruiting right now.

I say this as a fellow Dayton guy and a big fan of Malik when he was under center: he wasn't the same after injury, and unfortunately neither was the offense. Our running game took a hit once Zaire came back, which didn't help with the Read Option that Malik used to run...and quite frankly Sanford had tailored the offense to suit Kizer more while Zaire was out. Zaire was a ton of fun to watch in the LSU bowl and the Texas 2015 game. The whole offense stunk it up against Virginia the next week when Zaire got hurt, looked a lot like the Michigan 2019 game without the rain.

I think if the offense hadn't evolved while Malik was out and he came back 100% maybe he gives Kizer a run for his money, but neither happened. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Zaire hadn't gotten injured. I think Driskell is smoking crack if he thinks we were getting past Alabama or Clemson that year to win it all.

Since we barely lost to Clemson that year with Kizer, I assume Driskell thinks we beat them with Malik. Doubt we beat Bama, though I think we could have taken the other two playoff teams (Michigan State and Oklahoma)

The bigger problem was BVG running the D.

Malik has made a few borderline comments himself which made his feelings pretty obvious
I’m pretty sure when Malik was playing his dad made an IE account and posted a few times…. JojoBlack or something like that.

Against Clemson we probably could have used a healthy Malik actually. We did almost all our damage late in the 4th quarter, scoring only 3 points before that. Clemson ran for over 200 yards and averaged 4.9 yards a carry as a team. We did most of our damage late throwing the ball, but Fuller was held to two catches. Given the rain, if we had a stronger running game maybe we're not playing catch up late. I'm not making any assumptions, but given the weather it would have been interesting to see what would have happened.
