Who were the coaches, who both got fired, who would have been the ones who offered him? (Frost & Joseph).

If Matt Rhule offers him he will probably report it.

We’ve definitely had some lower rated guys become great players. Just a point of clarity , Claypool and Fuller were both composite 4* guys.

I remember Eifert coming to ND and Weis offering him after he worked out for the coaches. I always trust those offers even more. Getting to see a guy in person makes a difference.

They’re terrible coaches who offered. Matt Ruhle, who is a good coach, didn’t offer. Pretty simple.

Also you keep suggesting the losses in recruiting were due to our record last year. Possibly, my rational is if they are going to have to work for their money vs guaranteed they want to do it on a top team with the best coaches/development. That’s why nd needs to have a great year collectively and individually imo.

Watch every ND media outlet try to spin this kid as “underrated.” I’m sure Driskell will use magical rating system to bump him to a 4*. Tim Hyde will bitch about not having SEC speed on this team, but try to tell us how good this kid, who isn’t good enough to play for Nebraska, is a good take.

What I said was that he wasn't a plus athlete, and that was a common gripe with him especially in 2021.

The general consensus was that the final years under Kelly with Lea as the DC, the recruiting/scouting on defense wasn't particularly good. Todd Lyght wasn't an effective recruiter, and Joseph was more and less disappointing. Lewis wasn't recruited or scouted by Freeman or Mickens.

It's a different staff with a different recruiting/scouting philosophy.

The other guy essentially did, I was responding more to that. I think you’re right about Lewis not being as athletic as you’d want at the position but there are much better examples who are low three stars without the athleticism or skills to ever see the field. There are 4 and 5 stars that fit that category as well. Point is, Clarence Lewis and a whole bunch of other 3 stars have been good takes by the staff. Let’s hope their evaluation is right on Rezac.

Let's just see what happens. This wasn't some desperation offer. Sometimes kids blow up and your scouts are their first to take advantage.

He just got an sec offer right after we offered. I'm sure he'll get more big offers.

If you listen to message boards and ND media, every commit is good. It’s a lie, they lie to you bc they want to stay connected to the program.

This level of recruiting is garbage, it’s a class that might barely rank in the top 15 only bc of Carr & Williams.
