What's the latest on 5* Keon Keeley & Peyton Bowen, would they be game day starters if the season started this Saturday?

Bowen would 100 percent be in line to start for ND. Had a terrific spring for OU.

1st to 12th was fun to watch from august - December last year. Our staff evaluated prospects and were landing our options wayyy down the list. So if you trust the staffs evaluation then we’re landing a bunch of players not even close to who they really wanted for this cycle.

Of course he has the opportunity to be good. Anyone that has the size, that works hard can be good. One thing we all know from following recruiting is that the recruiting services get it wrong. They over rate players and under rate players every year.

Although this isn’t flawless but offers can tell you about a player as well. When a 3 star has an offer from 25-30 schools and within that list is in the top ten recruiting schools, that says something.

For example ND is good at identifying TEs. If ND and other schools that do well with TEs are recruiting a 3 star TE that says something.

With that being said his offer list doesn’t fit in those categories. * I have not watched his film yet.*

I’m aware, though Moore was never a commit and never counted toward our rankings. Would’ve been nice if we had kept, say, Bowen and Edwards and landed 8th. But here we are.

Also you keep suggesting the losses in recruiting were due to our record last year. But except for Keeley to Alabama, I believe everyone who flipped went somewhere with a worse (Moore to UCLA, Bowen to Oklahoma, Edwards to Colorado) or basically same (Limar to Oregon) record. Hillman to Michigan I suppose but that was a different thing. Given why they all flipped I don’t really think beating Marshall or not makes much difference to any of them.

I understand, and I have nothing against anyone on this board. My post is a shot at the energy of coming into a recruit’s thread to complain about something that doesn’t belong here. We have general recruiting threads for this. Additionally, Freeman doesn’t have a class of “prove ‘em wrongers”. He has a class with a mix of recruits that he sees fit the program, ranging in stars. It’s Freeman’s team and I’m going to give him a chance to build what he is going to build. If that includes Teddy, then cool.

I hope he does see this… don’t come to ND. Stay in the G5 where you belong.

Nebraska hasn’t recruited Nebraska well for 20 years. Noah Fant and Zane Flores are just off the top of my head that never got offered, not to mention Xavier Watts choosing South Bend over Lincoln. Nebraska is a dead program

Give me a balanced, cohesive, well coached, fight to the last whistle, competitive football team every year. Then you can obsess about national championships all you want when you have all of those aspects on a CONSISTENT basis. That’s how championships are won.
