@Alex_Flanagan: Former Notre dame guard Chris Watt taken into training room on cart during chargers practice. :( SD GM has been impressed by his consistency

Looks like it's probably heat exhaustion

That makes sense in SanD. We used to fall over with heat exhaustion when it was 75 degrees, with a nice breeze! It is possible, especially, I imagine if you don't remove your helmet, often.

Great comeback for the Chargers. Watt didn't look good limping off the field...I'm guessing torn ACL

What qualifies him besides being an alum? He's coached two years at Tulane.

In all seriousness, because as soon as the news broke about Harry, I figured the Chris Watt train would get rolling.

Why him in this moment?

And he was very bad at Tulane. Notre Dame can do leagues better than Chris.

If the rumors of friction between MF and TR are true, why on Earth would MF hire Tommy's boy to replace Tommy's boy? Spoiler alert: he won't!

Watt isn’t ready for the position. ND cant just handout positions to any because they were under the tutelage of another coach.

ND OL coach is one of the top five OL jobs in America. Freeman will get a guy. Maybe Watt stays, takes a new job, or is told to bounce.

This situation is one of those things where one would really need inside information to know what's going on. Indianapolis just hired an OLine coach. But that guy, Tony Sparano, Jr, has never been a head OLine coach. He played defensive end in college, but has tagged along with his dad and several other head coaches as an assistant.

The Colts notoriously need their OLine to be fixed (other than Big Q). This SHOULD be a priority hire --- but why this particular guy? The only thing that I've found is that Rex Ryan liked him, and has been quoted with high praise. Still, I wonder.

Hiring an Assistant OLine coach in these circumstances would then, to me, ALSO be a high priority for this team which really needs to get this right. It makes me think that Watt is also highly regarded, as is my intuition here. My guess is that Chris Watt is very good, and it won't take long to get a head OLine coaching job somewhere.
