That's pretty funny. However, I'm not in either retreat or surrender mode. I just said that I would be satisfied if we landed an OC as good as or better than TR, which is far from obvious at this point. And BTW, I think Rees is a good OC that will only get better with time. Pray tell, since you sound like you're satisfied with how the process is going, which realistic candidate would you consider a home run hire? Ludwig? No better than Rees IMHO. Parker? No comment. Please inform us as to why you think this whole process is going so well.

And BTW, I probably lived in the US, including South Bend, for more years than you, Mr. All American.

Colorado play-caller Sean Lewis, Utah's Andy Ludwig and Kansas State's Collin Klein are the candidates who have received the most extensive attention from the Irish, per sources with direct knowledge among multiple involved parties.

Notre Dame's vetting process, sources told FootballScoop, went to extra lengths on those candidates -- though sources indicated Freeman had "communicated with" more than 10 potential coordinators.
