Agreed but let’s be honest, saturday being named the full time head coach after going 1-7 would be the most Jim Irsay move ever
With a normal owner you would say there is zero chance. With Irsay, I would still put it at 15% chance. SMH

There is no pain like Jim Irsay and Jerry Reinsdorf owning your two favorite professional sports franchises.

What’s strange is until this season, Irsay has been a great owner typically staying out of everything except approving the mega contracts.

He needs to revert back to popping pills and playing guitar.

Colts are looking at Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn as well as Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen. Also reported they are requesting an interview with Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris.

It almost feels like the Saturday noise is just a smokescreen to induce fans into being fine with whoever they pick in comparison to el Jefe.

Supposedly still going to interview Saturday, but things got worse as the season went on. If he could have played .500 ball or went like 3-4 I could see it, but...........

Saturday is not an option as far as I'm concerned, as many of you said he did nothing to help his cause. I'm not sure how I feel about them getting a first time head coach but it has worked for some franchises. My opinion is that it doesn't matter who we get unless we get a QB in the draft. If we don't draft a QB then I'm done. We can not afford to keep being a QB retirement home!

Nobody could have won with that quarterbacking.
Excruciating trying to focus on Big Q blocking (one of my favorite NFL pastimes) and being forced to watch the QB play.
GAWD AWFUL. Never thought a vet like Ryan could degrade so much, and the other guys no better.
So Jeff Saturday was probably just an interim to suffer through the utter crap, but it wasn't his fault.

In his PC today Ballard said he would do what ever it takes to get the #1 pick to select a QB. Sounds like he was sending a message to Jimmy.

Which QB? Alabama's? OSUs? Kentucky's? ... The noise seems to think they'll go all-in on the draft, but some known NFL guys might also be available. And where is Sean Payton going to coach? Is Indianapolis administration coach-friendly and football stable enough to attract a guy like him --- he just said that the admin would be his number one concern returning.

Given the lack of success with established QB’s I doubt they would go that route again. There hasn’t been any speculation on who they prefer, but most experts seem to think Young from Alabama is heads above the others with the only question mark being his size.

Colts reporters are saying Saturday is a real strong candidate. 🥺

I’m out if Irsay’s drugged up ass hires Saturday permanently.

Colts interviewed Bieniemy. Given Ballard's relationship with him, this might put him in a good position where he finally gets over the hump.

ok wanted to make sure. this morning on the radio i only heard Quinn, Saturday and Evero
I think they may end up interviewing a couple more. DeMeco Ryans hasn't had his first interview. Wants to wait until his season is over. Is Saturday really being considered or is this second interview more of a courtesy?

The first interview for Saturday is courtesy. A second isn't necessary.

Guys should be kinder to Jeff Saturday. He took on a filler job impossible to do, and did as well as anyone given those circumstances.
Does he deserve the real job? Probably not. Does he deserve everyone's respect? For sure. I think that he is a good man and a real professional, and doesn't deserve any crap comments. With no coaching experience, he was obviously a filler just to keep the players playing hard to get to season's end for fans and ticket-holders purposes.. He did that job as well as one can expect in that mess.

I haven't really heard much about a bad locker room in Indy so you can take a chance. I would say you have to start with Ryans. I know the NFL is offense driven right now but you still need an above average defense.

Who's saying anything bad about Saturday other than what he did filling in? I'm a big Saturday fan as a player and a person, but to ignore that the team basically quit is just proof he isn't ready for the position.

... several people add-on unnecessarily negative comments about him. All over the place.
Get off my butt. I never said he was ready for a HC job. Why even post this?
