Mosley and Wingo would be a nice combination.

Who would want to play on Grinch's defense?

Stucki is bringing in a nice WR class for 2023, hopefully he can build on that. Would be nice to get better results from our WR's on Saturday's.

The update says three schools standout and a decision by Summer.

That’s six months.

As I have said in the recent past on IE, things can quick in recruiting, and sometimes rather quickly.

The lad grew up everything ND. Parents are alums, lived in Chicago I believe until he was 15. I think he has a good idea about ND. It’s his recruitment and he is allowed to visit other places.

If it comes to the summer and he still hasn’t made it to campus, then it’s a better assumption to say he’s not coming. But we are not at that point right now.

2024 Recruiting started off hot but I honestly am worried about finding some decent safeties and DL/DE guys in this class, guys that can macke an impact right away

They just brought in a very nice DL haul in 2023. The Smith twins, Hayes, Lindsay, and Wafle would be a very good group to follow the 23 group. Who knows, maybe they add Lightfoot too.

Nothing really to worry about there.

These were the same worries around this time last year, but it turned out fine - more or less.

It’s January. Give it time. Let recruits make it campus and the staff will do their jobs.

Question: If he wasn't a legacy, how bad would we realllllly want him?
Fair question. I see him as a good enough prospect at a position that they still need to get built up in terms of quality and quantity in the 2024 class. It would certainly raise some eyebrows if he wasn't even going to consider ND down the stretch let alone sign there, but in the end, it's his call. There is only so much you can do to sell a kid.

Definitely hasn’t felt like a “lock” but surprised any final group just excludes ND for sure

I thought it was odd when IB was doing their intro the 24 class after signing day they didn’t mention him as at all during the DB portion.

I don’t believe ND is recruiting him as an ATH, or DB. His highlights he released last week are pretty much exclusively on offense. That kind of tells you where he wants to play.

Numbers game. If ND gets CJ Williams and doesn't lose any upper classmen to transfer, you're looking at
Seniors: Deion Colzie, Jayden Thomas, Lorenzo Styles
Juniors: CJ Williams Tobias Merriweather
Sophomores: Rico Flores, Braylon James, Jaden Greathouse, KK Smith
Freshman: Cam Williams, TBD, TBD.

Don't think they need 4 receivers in the next class unless one transfers now that CJ Williams is in (potentially, for the sake of this exercise). If they go for 3, ND can afford to be picky. I don't love slow playing a legacy of his caliber, but we don't know that's the case. He might just not be that interested as others have said. Chansi is making the room full again.

Are we certain we're pushing hard at this time??

He did make a visit for the Shamrock game in Vegas. That’s all that’s really happened since the summer with his recruitment in regards to ND. There is likely conversations going on behind the scenes, such is general recruiting, but nothing else has been made public.

I don’t think he’s at the top tier of their board. ND is likely going to be more selective this year at WR.

Stuckey really likes Wingo, McClellan, Richardson & Robinson at Long Beach Poly. These are the dudes you constantly hear about ND going after hard.

I think it depends who the 4th WR would be. If they are able to add 2 of Jeremiah McClellan, Bredell Richardson, Emmett Mosley, and Jason Robinson and then either Ryan Wingo or Josiah Brown want in I think you have to take them. With the transfer portal, we can't really worry about numbers. The numbers will work out and we need as much talent as possible.

Of our 2023 signees, who did you know we’d land as of Jan 11th 2022?

The Smith brothers, Lindsey, and Scott would be a great haul. Safety is another story. Sanders from NJ seems like a ND lean but he’s a low 4*.
