LMFAO Stanford is letting undergrad transfers in and they're not even trying to win football games. What is this bizarro simulation we're living in?

I'm making an assumption that FSU is paying transfers, hence one reason they're killing it in the portal. But does anyone know how Michigan is having such great success? Harbaugh doesn't recruit well, but he appears to be crushing it with portal guys. Recency bias with back-to-back CFP perhaps? Something else?

On the Shamrock, Furtuna (F him for picking UM to win it all btw) and Sampson mention how FSU and UM are landing "studs" in the portal (just looking at 247 rankings), but specifically mentioned that ND and UM aren't that different in NIL approach. Is this correct?

They also called out ND for being so secretive about NIL. I think they made some good points.

Going to go on the assumption that Michigan needs to be aggressive in the portal because their recruiting in recent years have not matched their success.

To take that many transfers usually speaks volumes that there is not much confidence from the UM staff in the players next in line. I don't feel that it is just adding gold to gold - but, I could be wrong. I spend zero of my energy looking at the UM program.

ND has a few holes and can be selective. Across the board, offensively and defensively, there is both depth and confidence in who we have and who will the new impact players next year. Give or take a position or two, ND feels good with what they have - even with the impending second wave of transfers that are going to be announced from the conclusion of the bowl game to the end of spring practice.

If Stanford can bring in 2 undergrad transfer players in the same week then there's no reason why ND shouldn't be able to do so. Unfortunately, it's not just football, either. Driskell said that an undergrad baseball player from Harvard wanted to transfer to ND but he got denied because he didn't have the credits. What a freaking joke.
From HARVARD!

Graduate transfer. Plausible Al Washington link, but only played strictly on the DL in Columbus, so wasn't coached by Wash

Wouldn’t get hopes up but would definitely solve interior needs

Oklahoma St is getting absolutely railroaded in the portal. They legitimately are gonna have just a brand new team next year

Flew under the radar in high school bc he played QB.

Had 68 catches for 1325 yards and 13 touchdowns in 11 games in 2022.

No idea if ND will make a play for him, but he has blown up with offers from Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Purdue to name a few.

Would be insane to see a dude from Hillsdale end up in a P5 receiver role. Hope it happens for him!

Matthew Lee OL/Center from UCF is a stud I'd take a run at him. He allowed zero sacks and zero QB hits in 2022 has started in 34 games and has 2 years left. Kid would be a huge get for anyone.
