Serious Question- Is Bielema a steal target anytime soon? I mean, he’s done some good work in short time at Ill-Annoy.

Willie Fritz to GT is a good football hire. I don't know that it really registers a blip on the radar whatsoever but he's done good work. 62 years old and cashes in on a P5 job. Good for him.

Cincinnati should give Jason Candle a serious look. 52-32 at Toledo after replacing Matt Campbell.

After the game, the OSU fans behind the Big Noon Kickoff stage were chating "We want Urban!!!"

Hartline would be an awful move, what experience does he have to run a team? He works under 3 guys. Day, Wilson and Alford probably controls a lot of the locker room.

It's a risk but I don't think it's a crazy one. Keeping on a guy like Coombs would help with a lot of those deficiencies.

Almost as awful as hiring freeman to be HC at Notre Dame.

Really, if anyone is going to take a risk on a young up and comer, that’s the school, and he’s the guy.

Cincy is in for some tough times if they don't nail this hire as they're switching conferences. Hartline feels like a clusterf of a hire in today's CFB climate of needing near instant results.

I didn't consider the possibility before I read your post but I think that makes a ton of sense.
Jason Candle from Toledo makes more sense.

Hartline is PJ Fleck. Fleck had no OC or HC experience, took a MAC job no one wanted and turned it around. For me that's where Hartline would have to go from here. MAC HC job based on his current resume.

UC fans thought Denbrock was holding them back and liked the guy who is now OC. Pretty sure their offense wasn’t pretty this year. With the early returns on Lea and Elko, I would think BK assistants have decent cache to land a head job.

People tend to have a inflated disdain for the OC :)

Is this the year Pat Fitzgerald is let go? 4-20 the last two seasons, with a career win percentage barely over .500

Feels like NU has stayed with him long enough

If I am UC, I go Candle first. Born in Ohio, played and coached at Mt. Union before going to Toledo. He's spent his entire football life in the state. He's been coaching for almost 20 years to Hartline's five.

You have to look at Herman too with the move to the Big 12. He can navigate both Ohio and Texas.

Agreed. I don’t really know what they have to lose.

I mean a program built to its absolute ceiling and then some and defying odds to make a CFP and entering a new conference now. They have years of brilliant success by Fickell to lose.
