There is no reason there shouldn't have been 50+ for the Irish on the scoreboard today. Imagine if MF wouldn't have called those timeouts at the end of the first half and go in and score a TD with 1:40ish on the clock???
I still say 9-3. Navy is harder to gameplan for than anyone else. They’re just different.Likely to be 8 - 4 season

Not to DelawareI still say 9-3. Navy is harder to gameplan for than anyone else. They’re just different.
I mean, we lost to MarshallNot to Delaware
And Stanford - your point?I mean, we lost to Marshall
My point was the Delaware game doesn’t mean anything. Maybe that team sees the option more, and we’re better prepared. Don’t give me talent level excuse. Option is made to counteract that. And Stanford - your point?
1. Show me how Delaware is a better team against the option than the Irish. My point was the Delaware game doesn’t mean anything. Maybe that team sees the option more, and we’re better prepared. Don’t give me talent level excuse. Option is made to counteract that.
This was almost a carbon copy of the Stanford game in the sense of Pyne’s inability to do basic shit causing the entire offense to implode against a bad defense.
When they routinely zero blitz or completely sell out against the run, you need to have the football IQ to throw the ball on time where it needs to go. You cannot just hold the ball until the unblocked rusher gets home. Against Stanford it was the opposite problem — not being able to read drop 8 and melting down in a different way.
The coaches and other players weren’t perfect but holy crap.
We had one. On a 20-yard third-down pass to Colzie that felt like a minor miracle. Then Pyne got sacked twice and we actually lost yards on the possession.Yep. All day.
I honestly forget. Did ND even make a first down in the second half?
Not in the second half.... they were gassed because of the offensive / non productionOur D line was not very good today either.
Over time I just get more and more disappointed that some OCs (eg - Rees) get paid so much money to not realize this and adjust mid-game.
We’re all shouting it out in the game threads, and yet we continue to drop back Pyne and let him look for deep shots instead of dialing up screens and quick throws.
14-71. Show me how Delaware is a better team against the option than the Irish.
2. Show me where I said anything about 'talent level'
I'll wait.
The OC has to call plays that the QB is able to see or make. They weren’t on the same wave length at all.Guys were open when they needed to be. Play calling wasn't the problem today.
I counted at least 2-3 plays in the 2H where a dialed up screen would’ve gone at least 20+ yards, if not the house.Guys were open when they needed to be. Play calling wasn't the problem today.
Three more games then we likely never see Drew play again. The OC has to call plays that the QB is able to see or make. They weren’t on the same wave length at all.
Fixed.....Three more games then we never see Drew play again.
Presumably Angeli is worse. It is Rees than needs goneing.Three more games then we likely never see Drew play again.
Well, there could be 3-4 injuries next year….Fixed.....
