Alabama is the Lamborghini. ND is that 57' Bel-Air that your father has been repairing in the garage for 15 years that was starting too look good. But papa made a little error, he did something incorrectly with the fuel injectors, and now the engine isn't firing as it was not too long ago. He's doing his research and analyzing what is causing the error and is committed to fixing the problem, because the restoration is not yet complete and he won't quit until it's that same, pristine beautiful car that rolled off the assembly line all those years ago.
I'm sure you can find the metaphors in there that apply to the current situation.
Manti Te'o had a beauitful quote in his speech to the Student Body before the Cal game: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."
Unanticipated problems are a nasty annoyance, I'll give you that. But no one pulls themselves out of any investment that quickly. Would you sell your stock in company that has an unexpected dip, or do you wait it out and see how it rebounds?
